Edward is one of the best rules teacher on TH-cam. As a person who usually teaches all the games in my group, I truly appreciate all the work that goes into it
Edward, I was wondering if you might compare some of your feeling for Stress Botics to your experiences with Feudum? I feel like you described some of the work of learning, teaching and playing the gfame similarly here ("beautiful mess") and in the last couple weeks but maybe you come down more in support of this one than Feudum for some reasons you can share? (I realize they are totally different heavy games but I just noticed some parallels in what you were expressing... though I feel like one would be in the "play again" pool and the other is lost to the dust bins of history for you). Thank you for sharing if you are able!
Really looking forward to getting this game (pre ordered)! Love the theme, art, mechanics, etc. My only nitpick would be that this would have been a great candidate for dual-layer player boards!! Full disclosure, I’m a sucker for dual-layer player boards. 😂
For me it's every 4 minutes. Makes it unwatchable really. 3 ads and Ken hasn't finished playing his second card yet. Too bad because the game looks cool.
I usually enjoy the teaches, but this was probably the worst teach i seen, I gave up watching it about 50 mins in and just read the rulebook. I felt like you were just reading the rulebook but just repeating the same points over and over again instead of going over more detail cases where you would have questions about. The teach could have easily be finish in 55 mins if you didn't repeat what the symbols over again. A teach should take you less time then reading the rulebook or what is the point of it. Yes I can get slightly longer than a straight read if the teacher is giving examples or pointing out edge cases, but I didn't feel like any of the information given was anything more than reading the rulebook. I read the rulebook in 45 mins but this teach was 2.5 hours.....
@trolleewang2672 I’m glad you were able to go through the game in around 55 minutes, which is the ideal goal for a rolling teach! Edward and I discussed whether to do a shorter, rolling format or the extended version, as he mentions in the video. Given the complexity of Stress Botics, Edward and his team invested significant time preparing a cohesive and thorough session, with the goal of covering all mechanics thoughtfully. Their extensive preparation allowed for a clear and detailed teaching that has also helped Token Synapse refine many FAQs that will be included in our upcoming guide. As the game’s designer, I truly appreciate this depth of coverage, which I believe will serve as a valuable resource for players seeking a solid foundation in the game. Thank you for your genuine interest in the game and for taking the time to review the rules so efficiently. With this explanation, I hope you can gain a new perspective on Edward's approach to the project. This extended teach was designed with thoroughness in mind, and it’s been positively received by many players and followers of Stress Botics. I hope future videos on the game can be as enjoyable and insightful for you as they’ve been for others in the community!

Thank you very munch for this playthrough. A 2h30 teach, it’s my kind of game.
Just really wanted to be thorough on this one as y’all at home are going to need it, imho.
Kudos man. What a beast. An incredibly well done teach. Now on to the playthrough

“The planet is called STR-355” 😂
I see what they did there
I hope you do get to play it more... and put up the videos
I thought a game couldn't be too heavy for me - know better now.
2 hours and 32 minutes before the game starts.
That has to be a record
That alone feels like more of a deterrent than an endorsement. Eeeesh!
Nearly 8 hours - blimey
Super interested but had to stop watching as TH-cam put an ad break every 7-8 minutes
That shouldn’t be happening. I’ll look into it
