It's 2am in Australia. Laying here crying for us all. Everyone is here with a story of loss. Man, this life can be tough.
My dad passed away when I was 11 and Ed sheeran was his favorite artist, we would listen to X and Divide every car ride so much that I memorized the track order on the albums. When this song came out not only was it exactly what I was feeling about my dad but it was coming from one of his favorite artists. My brother had a baby 5 years after my dad died and now she’s 2 and loves Ed’s music just as much as my dad did. Thank you for making videos showing what you’re going through because some of us need to know that we have people like you to relate to and find comfort in ❤

I can't imagine losing my dad at your age. I was 43 when I lost my Daddy 6 years ago on the 11th & it was still too soon. It's never easy but it gets easier ; you'll still have moments when a song or memory will hit you out of no where, but we where Blessed with Great Daddies & that's something not every child has. Oh sweetheart....it's been 12 years since i lost my dad and i can still clearly remember the exact moment i was told by my brother that our dad had passed. I remember saying " no, no, no" over and over again. I was the youngest of 4 and the only girl and it absolutely broke my heart. I also remember saying to him as i placed a flower in his grave "this is not goodbye, it's until we meet again." My dad lived a long live, he was 91 when he died and it took me a long time to finally admit that he is in peace and free of pain. Time will heal your heart but you never get over it completely. Love to you and your extended families ❤

My dad's been gone 12 years and I totally get it. It's the biggest loss we can feel, our parents (or God forbid, our children before us). May you feel peace and know that your dad is around you always. I'm happy that you were not too proud to show your grief. We all feel it.

Lost my mom 7/3/21. She was 50 years old, and 2.5 years later it still hasnt quite sunk in and I'm not sure I've really grieved. My ADHD results in some object/people permanence issues (think 'out of sight, out of mind') and I'm both devastated and grateful that there was distance between us when she passed unexpectedly. Most days my brain lets me forget she's gone. Probably because i, like you, never got to say goodbye.
