After the green dragons got two back to back double breath attacks and the unicorns blinded the hydras I was like "well this is going to be a slaughter"
does the AI hate fortress? because I see them throwing away perfect death stares, and hydra attacks, while the enemy's play around the hydra is on point.
I don't think it's a "hate" thing (AI only behaves how it's coded). I'd say that devs didn't put too much effort in hardcoding the Fortress AI to make full use of its creatures' specials. Probably the devs hurried with the release, who knows? I'm just speculating here, but it's definitely not a hate thing cause the AI can't hate anything. It's a stupid machine :)
I don't think there's any effort involved (if you like the game). I could play a battle for hours on end without getting bored, and all OP does is play for a few minutes which, believe me, you don't even realize how fast they pass when you're into this game.
the second part is not necessary i think. look, the idea is brilliant. I've been through the entire serie. 100-week growth and we are seeing the result of the balance of factions about clean meat power. it's an interesting statistic and it's fun to watch. and even to worry sometimes for one of the sides. with magic? it doesn't measure anything extra. play yourself? nah, just spoils the idea.. it would be nice at the end to calculate some points and arrange fractions in order of power. make a table like in football championships? change the attacker and the defender and do two measurements? maybe some other plasement in fights, not 1-2-3..7 from top to bottom? what else? . bo3? idk. ..as a result, this playlist will be the best of the links to homm3 youtube :) you sir are doing cool job here.
elves dendroids unicorns and dragons are the best Rampart creatures... gorgons hydras and flies are Fortress' (basilisks and wyverns too IF they trigger their specials, but otherwise the burden of the fights is carried by those 3) ... Also, I have not won many Heroes 3 games against other people, but the few I've won have mostly come when I played Tazar, Mephala or Ryland. These 3 heroes are perfect for newbies to learn the game due to their specials cause it keeps the newbies alive for longer period of time until they figure out how the hell to win. And speaking of newbies, when I first started playing Heroes 3 (I started directly with Heroes 3, have never played 1 or 2 prior to 3) I started with Rampart in 1999 I believe, and it took me 9 freakin months of 10-12 hours a day (literally DAILY, cause I would skip college to go play Heroes, and needless to say I failed college) to learn how to play Rampart alone, and not even then I knew what all of the artefacts and spells do, or how to make the best use of creatures' specials. It's true that once I've started figuring out all the heroes' specials, creatures' abilities and which spells / skills / artifacts were better moving on to playing other factions was easier because I had the basics (or most of them anyway) all figured out xD ... Anyway, I digress... Rampart and Fortress are my all time (like, in the ENTIRE franchise of HOMM) favorite towns, followed closely by Conflux. These 2 have helped me get the few victories I've had in hotseat games and for good reasons. They're amazing in the right hands (aka NOT mine). And the fact that they split the wins between them proves that they're both equally strong. Love these 2 towns so much that you can't imagine :)
this is absolutely unbelieveble that Fortress commanded by human almost lost versus AI rampart... I thought that fortress is not such bad town but now I am not sure...
gnoll - average and slow lizardmen - good as 2nd lvl but still the only one shooter in this town. Not big deal at late game. It is also a little slow. dragonflies - I like them cause they fly very fast but they also die very fast... basilisk - average AF. And slow. gorgons - best lvl 5 creature, terminator of lvl 7. Unfortunately, slow. viverns - one of the two fast creatures in this town is worst lvl 6 creature, even chimera and cyclop is better hydra - difficult to command, lowest damage at all lvl 7 creatures and slow. However they can do great job. creatures of this town are slow and average or fast and kinda useless. This is so sad.
@@mehmed93 Should we think about what happened if he played for both the towns? 1) Gold Dragons wouldn't hit allied units (the AI did it at least once, maybe even twice). 2) The Dendroids wouldn't let the Flies live even 3 turns while staying close to the Elves. 3) There would have been no holding back in the final instead the noob AI trying to knite 😂
Fortress is one of most strongest and greatest fractions. Their units have many useful abilities and Tazar and Indra are ones of most powerful heroes in the game.
Unfortunately the are. You can't really rely on not having obstacles. There is a spell which can clear obstacles, but I don't think you would cast it while you have other options in you spell book.
agree with the hydra there, but why wyverns in 1 / 7 and not gnolls or flies?? Actually, flies it would be better cause gnolls need to take retaliations off
Strange battle without non upgraded basilisks and gorgons. Also viverns have poison attack after an update. Why do you have Tazar without defence (0) in skills? It should have at least 25 defence.
Just because the AI didn't rush all the units on the Hydras and because it occasionally hit its own units with the gold dragons. If Rampart was also played by a human player it wouldn't let those flies live long while staying close to the elves.
The second part when you controlled the fortress team is awful. You wasted hydras' first move, then basilisks hit unicorns and lizard warriors hit pegasi instead of gold dragons who had no retaliation at the moment. Finally on 7:03 instead of hitting both gold dragons and pegasi with hydras you go for dendroids
Fortress is quite outclassed it seems if it is only possible to win beause the AI is stupid and doesn't accept few more losses by Hydras....and even THAN it was almost a defeat....
Gorgons: I don't think these Golden Dragons look tgat dangerous. Better hit some squishys! Fortress would've easily won that. Even AI would pull it off. If this match was repeated 100 times, fortress would win majority. It was highly unfortunate that gorgons ignored golden dragons several times in a row, and they were the main damage dealer throughout this fight.
Bruh... Fortress played by a human player barely won with 13 Chaos Hydras left. Should we think of what would happen if both towns were played by human player?
@@Hardcore_Remixer Useless thought, because the level of those players is what matters. Fortress is not weak. It just requires skill.
