It's a tragedy that today's music has no soul rap techno death metal I would rather good lyrics over a beat any day most of today's music makes the sound of a dentist still sound pleasureble lol
Yeah. It's a shame that's all people see them as that. I mean, I can see why people aren't fond of them, seeing how Night Fever ended up affecting disco as a genre. But at the same time, Bee Gees made other good, underrated songs too.

In the sixties and seventies when the Bee Gees got famous, record companies actually took pride in the bands and artists that they signed to their labels. They weren't entirely focused on making money and nothing else - they wanted their artists to create great music that was emotional, creative and was genuine. These days, record companies just don't give their artists or bands time to develop musically. They just care about if something is going to make gigantic piles of money regardless if they are true musicians or not. This song is nearly 40 years old and remains a true classic to this day. Just listen to the heartfelt and emotional lyrics, the story, the harmonies, the musical journey. Don't get anything like this these days. A real "tragedy..."
