Christian missionary Gregory Dow set up the orphanage with his wife in 2008.
"Gregory Dow was the proverbial wolf in sheep's clothing," said the FBI's Michael Driscoll.
Last year, Dow pleaded guilty in the US to four counts of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a minor in a foreign place. The orphanage was partly funded by churches in Lancaster county in the US state of Pennsylvania and was in operation for almost a decade before Dow fled in 2017.

@@emilymula645 Hello. Just wanted to let you know that Jesus loves you very much. He is coming back very soon and He wants you to be ready.
Just go to Him as you are. You don’t have to be perfect. The only thing He requires is a full surrender of your life. Go to Him and give Him your life and everything. Once you surrender everything (from the heart). He will give you The Holy Spirit in His fullness. The Holy Spirit will then give you faith, the power to overcome sin, peace, fulfillment and above all, eternal life. You cannot do it on your own strength. It’s only by the Holy Spirit. And you get The Holy Spirit once you lay everything down, including your life at The Lord’s feet. He says in His Word “Not by might, not by power but by my Spirit”.
People think Christianity is boring. That’s because they see it as a religion. Christianity is not a religion, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who loves you and gave Himself for you. Having a relationship with Christ is the most joyful fulfilling thing you can ever have. Jesus changed my life and He wants to change yours as well. The reason we are all here is to fellowship with and have a relationship with God.

That story and the lady herself is such an inspiration to many blind people. I remember back in 2009, There was a time I had headaches for 3 good days. While lying on my bed in high pain I managed to fall asleep. When I woke up I found myself in total dakness. I stretched my hand to reach the switch to light ul the room but to my surprise there was no light. I was highly shocked by such kind of darkness that I have never encountered in my life. So nikapapasa beside me mahali nilikuwa naekelea simu then I found it. That time ilikuwa nokia 1110. So I pressed any button but still nothing. I was terrified and thats when i realised I had become blind. It was a total darkness and I could see. Nothing. I staggered to the window and opened the curtains and still I could see nothing. Thats when I staggered back to bed and lied facing up. I was like traumatized and remained on the bed for hours in deep shock. I knew my life had changed into worse. Many things ran in my mind as I desperately lay there. My eyes were open in darkness. Suddenly something happened. I strted seeing a very very tiny dot infront of me. That dot kept becoming bigger as time goes. It became bigger and bigger and to my shock. It was a bulb I was staring at. Kumbe time niliwasha stima, indeed the bulb iliwaka. Thats how I tasted blindness in a very short time. Until today it still disturb me and I usually tell my friends. It still puzzles me what if it was a permanent blindness…

A friend of mine suffered the same problem 6 years ago. She had to learn braille to be able to work again. I'm glad she found a job about 2 years ago with the government; a permanent and pensionable contract. I wish GOK came up with a policy to employ those who develop permanent disability of any kind but who are able and willing to work. This way, they won't remain financially dependent on their families or find themselves begging on the streets.
I would urge each one of us to encourage those who develop disability later in life not to give up. Be there for them even when your pockets are dry. Call them, visit and send an Uber to pick them up whenever you need to meet up as friends. This is the one of the ways to give them hope.

    Blindness it is !?
I don’t knw how she can afford to smile and even come before people to inspire and fight for blinds space in society.
As a young boy age 14 full of ambition energy and urge to eradicate poverty from my family. I happen to lost my sight in what I would call gradual blindness. Our last born then was around 4 yrs . It was so embarrassing that a 14 yrs old boy had his life turn upside down no he has to depend on a 4yrs girl for day to day routine . But thank God , here and I’m not blind and in full gear removing my family from poverty . Gos is great guys and never ever under estimate his love to us . My dream of was delayed but never denied !

Love the story sana....imenigusa mahali. I had a blind workmate and I remember how she could tell it was me coming into the room because of my colon hehehe one day nilikosa kuichapa and the asked me "kwani umesota?" Hehehe. I treated her like any other person and I believe that is how it should be. Thanks for sharing this bro

Mkuru I watched this piece with tears because my dad at the age of 50 suffered from exactly the same condition. We also tried everything but it couldn't work and as it is his sight never recovered. Unfortunately for him, he hasn't gotten the chance to get necessary support in that condition ; regards training. I am impressed, finally getting to watch a relatable story.
He is now 4 years old in the condition.
