Not always, I'm always fully insured and tags current. My car is a little longer than some others and I always back in until I touch the wall or bushes so I don't stick out, as a courtesy to others. Also in the past few decades parking spaces have been getting smaller and smaller, you know so they can park more cars! LOL

Here in Oz, you can't register your car if you haven't paid your Third Party Insurance and every police car has Number Plate Recognition Cameras, so you get busted real quick. The fines are $750 for being unregistered and another $750 for being uninsured. Yeah, a double whammy. If you wish to drive the vehicle, you then have to pay the registration and insurance, which is around $1,000 a year, all up. So it's cheaper to pay the fees than the fines.
