    This video helped me out with my Polo 2019. The dome light and front lighting inc vanity lights were very similar. The trunk light was another thing; taking it out was easy but the bulb is inside a compartment with a metal shroud around it. it is thin metal and once removed carefully you can change the bulb to the LED. Thanks again 👍👍

    For the rear lights, pry underneath the *length,* not the width.
    Prying it underneath the width makes the whole process more difficult than it should be and it increases the chances of you *puncturing the headliner* (which I just did).

    It’s possible to install a light inside the truck (maybe somewhere in the right, under that retractable cover, similar with the position in Hatchback Golf)? With the current one (on the roof) you need to fully retract the cover in order to see something in the back of the truck and that’s a bit annoying. Any Ideas?

    • @mrfixpl
      @mrfixpl  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Funny you ask that. I'm planning to add some light in the trunk as well for the same reason. Sure, you can install additional lights and wire them to the one in the roof. You can also add one under the trunk floor.
      I think once it gets warmer outside I will make such modification and a tutorial for it.

    It‘s quite okay to replace the original Light Bulbs with LED‘s. In the Golf 7 of my Sister and my Nephew I replaced them with the complete original VW LED-Interiorlights from the Highline-Models. It costs more of course but they are original and look better. You can’t replace the integrated LED in case they are blown, but this is very unusual.

      @@mrfixpl With the halogen (blue) lamps this was possible. Synced with the dashboard lights and adjustable through the CAR-menu - interior lights. Now only dashboard is dimming. The LED's changed (handglove, roof liner, trunk etc.) are Aglint led and stay 100%. Should these be coded to LED as all exterior lights?

    • @mrfixpl

      Yeah, LEDs have instant reaction and if one want the fade-in / fade-out effect it needs to be programmed on the cars side. Will investigate it some more.

    Hey i used these for golf 7 tsi 2015 for number plates lights and it gives me an error does anyone have the same problem?

    • @mrfixpl
      @mrfixpl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exterior lights are monitored and if you swap traditional bulbs with LED you will need to change coding of the BCM to let the module know that it should diagnose this circuit expecting LEDs over there.
      You can go with so-called CAN-BUS LEDs but they will produce extra heat and can cause strobe effect when diagnosing the circuit.
