What's crazy is that when you have so many people singing, the average pitch of the whole crowd is spot on.

If you watch this on a full screen, there's a Freddie shaped cloud on the upper right side of the sky. I'm not a woo-woo type of person but it really seems like he's looking down on the crowd. If Freddie could see this, he'd be bursting with pride 😊

In the UK, this song is ubiquitous. We have God Save the Queen and we have Bohemian Rhapsody. Given any crowd (almost any!), play this over the PA and you will end up with a mass singalong. It's just how it be :) And the clapping was the drum beat - no conductor, just a crowd who know the heartbeat of the song.

My best friend and me cut school to get front row seats to see Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody tour in 1976. They were still doing small venues back then. Freddie was just as amazing live as he was on record. They all were. When they played Bohemian Rhapsody they had fog machines and we lit up joints under the cover of the fog, lol. Freddie and Brian both spoke to me. Let us request a song, gave me a rose, my best friend got Roger’s drumsticks. She still has them. ✌️♥️🎶

During the concert Brian said to me and my best friend, “ You two girls know the words to our songs better than us, what song would you like to hear?” I somehow was able to speak and said “Keep Yourself Alive” he said “you got it”. My best friend asked for “Liar”. He shook both of our hands. Later when Freddie came out for an encore he had a dozen roses in his arms. He had bare feet at the time, and was inches from me and my best friend dared me to touch his foot. I did, Freddie smiled and handed me a rose and said here you go darling. It was amazing.

I'm just blown away from your story. I was lucky enough to see the boys in 1985 during "The Works" tour. Got tickets 7 rows from the front stage left. No one was directing the crowd, when you in a crowd and in the moment things just become symbiotic, Green Day play Bohemian Rhapsody before they take to the stage, so the crowd were pumped and had been waiting all day, so it was an accumulation of everything coming out in the song and Green Day thought it was a moment worth sharing with everyone. Imagine having Queen as your warm-up act ...
There were 65k+ people there; the band was playing records through loudspeakers before they came on, and when BoRa came on the singing started quite spontaneously. They got a bit out of time with the clapping, but only a little bit.
It must have been almost transcendental to have been in that crowd, a coming-together of hearts and minds, united in Queen.
If you look at the cloud at the top-left of the screen at the start, it looks like Freddie's silhouette: maybe he was there in spirit.

    Freddy lives forever!
The greatest thing is that, even people born after his death, love him.
He is god! I imagine him next to Prince and George Michael and a bunch of other, rocking it out.
Several crowds on other countries do the same, there are several videos on concerts on other locations singing Queen.

Just a testament to just how much Freddie and Queen are loved and respected, and that all Freddie ever wanted to be respected as a musician, well darling mission accomplished. I know you’re smiling down from heaven. 😇

There were 65,000+ people in Hyde Park for the Green Day concert and most of the audience weren't even born when Freddie first sang Bohemian Rhapsody. I know someone who was a member of the Event Security team at this concert and he told me that when the crowd started to sing it gave him chills as it was magical. The decision to sing was an off the cuff one with nobody conducting them.
We might be a small island but we Brits can sing - look at all the great bands that this country has produced.
Green Day had been due to come out on stage mid song but they could hear the crowd from back stage and chose to come out after the performers stopped singing. It what artistes do out of respect for their fellow performers.

It's an unspoken rule, you must sing this together when it comes on. I remember almost two decades ago in the back kennel room of the Veterinary Clinic I worked at, it came on the radio and all of us sang; even though some of us really didn't like each other, it didn't matter! It was awesome.

Only Queen could perform (or at least lead the crowd) in singing a different band's music! It shows how much love people still love this song! You don't go see Queen, you have a sing along! Even the reviewer is rocking out to this!

I think the singing in unison is Britain/Commonwealth schools get taught how to sing in unison from when they start school, along with it being such a well known song. Just thinking about it and down the years I’ll just randomly start singing a verse of this song from out of nowhere. A good combination, reinforced in Britain too.

It's a big thing to say but, when Freddie sang live he was in control of the crowd. Now that he is no longer here, his music being played as a warm-up for another band, even in death he's in control. It just goes to show you what a magnificent performer he was and still is to this day. RIP Freddie.

And that’s how it should be up during a time where this is how it was I’m 54 years old everything that’s going on in the world nowadays pisses me the hell off because when I grew up back in the day, it wasn’t like this what you’re seeing in this video is what it was like for us and I feel sorry for all the kids growing up nowadays my child is She knows no racism. Nothing she is. She has friends all walks of life and I hope that there are other kids out there like her because we need to turn this shit around.
