We saw AC/DC in 82 and they played Baba O'Reilly in between the warm up and main act. There was a large roar from the crowd and the volume was then turned up almost to concert level! Never saw that again in over seventy shows seen in the eighties!

this always makes me emotional.i wish freddie could know he's not forgotten.
a large percentage of the uk know this song start to finish.not just the gen that were around when it came out.
what you've got to think is this is 26yrs after freddie passed.these people although mainly brits are also from other countries, dif ages, races etc all come for green day but all know and love this song.
after first seeing this i found out it happens at dif concerts, dif countries.
    amazing!

a bonding experience above their love of the artist they've come to see.

"I wanna see other things like this." - Another one that gives me goose bumps is "JE T'AIME - LARA FABIAN LIVE " NUE -2002 ". Lara Fabian is a french singer, so... you know... the lyrics are in french. "Je T'aime" means "I love you." Lara had some serious problems in her professional and personal life at that time (2000-2002). Her fans knew about that and they wanted to express their love and support to Lara on her concert in Paris. A group of Lara’s fans approached her pianist and musical director Pierre Grimard before the concert and agreed that they will begin to sing that song "Je T'aime" before Lara. At some point, the audience changes the lyric to "We Love You." It's amazingly beautiful and she's completely surprised.

People did this all around the world. You can see why this song was inducted into the Library of Congress for cultural influence this year, along with Steve Perry singing Don't Stop Believing. Also, there is a better video of this time in Hyde Park showing the crowd singing.
