I guess that they never made a level similar to Sky Chase because people didn't really like it. I don't mind it tho, it's a nice slow-paced zone that gives you some time to reflect on your adventure. About "Silver Sonic"... that was the most commonly used name, but now he's Mecha Sonic MK. 1, while the "Mecha Sonic" from Sonic 3 is Mecha Sonic MK. 2 There's also a MK. 0 that is the guy from the 8-bit version of Sonic 2. Also, I'm guessing the trick you were trying to do at his fight is the one that makes you hit him 4 times with just a spindash charge... you can still do that! but you were doing it in the wrong way, unless it was another trick I'm not aware of.
Haha in my day he was always called Silver Sonic, yeah Sky Chase is fun I'm glad Adventure and Unleahsed brought it back in some capacity. I'm not skilled enough to pull off whatever trick it looked like I was going haha

Sonic 2 Sonic has my favorite sonic sprite. I hated how he looked in Sonic 3
