I looked at those brush hogs at Tractor Supply and was wondering if my 1941 Ford 9N tractor could handle it. Now I know. Great video thank you for posting this!😀👍🚜

All I can say is I've been running mine off my 1948 Ford 8N for 2 seasons now and still strong, hasn't seem to affect the 8N at all, heavy thick grass every spring, I do keep the blades sharp.....some people say Ford 8N won't handle it.....this is the 60" 5 ft. model, no problems here, **I do run an over-run clutch on the PTO**

These old direct drive tractors can be deadly. Pushing in the clutch does nothing because the hog and tires are locked together. They can push you over a Clif . Most do pop out of working gear easily though. This will disconnect the drive and let it turn. Whatever gear it works best in will usually be the most worn and a sharp bump will knock the trans into neutral. Only do this in a emergency . The slipper clutches don't always work

I've never seen a tractor that can't be deadly.

That short piece at the top of the A-arm support. Do you tighten it up or leave it loose to allow flex?

if you're referring to the short bolt that has a sleeve in the center of the two arms, I leave mine loose, it has to be able to move, it has a lock nut on it.

Since it's almost been a year, how's it holding up?

Doing great, haven't had a single problem with it, and unfortunately I have hit some hidden stumps and rocks with it that I wish I hadn't, but it kept on going. So I can't complain.

I always run Stabalizer Bars on my 3 point hitch attachments....they would have to run straight. Thanks or commenting
