If they did that they would have had to figure out how to get around the fact that Ish comes across a group of black survivors but dismisses them because he sees them as being no more than animals and then they would have to figure out how to get around the scene where they murder the guy because all he wants to do is hook up with the disabled girl because they dont want disabled children to come from that union.

what I don't understand is, they have a lot of food, why do immune humans still have to kill each other (only watched 2 episodes) in one episode the male character goes to Vegas and there is a lots of food that can last them decades, why not just there?

Why does Ish not like or care about his first born son? At least twice the son very clearly states his hurt and Ish does NOTHING to remedy the situation. Doesn’t even try to doesn’t talk with him, doesn’t reassure him doesn’t bother spending any time with him. Did I miss something? Why does he dislike his own child?
~*SPOILERS AHEAD!*~ He doesn't dislike his son. He just becomes focused on the younger son because he sees the potential in him to help build the future from a science and technology point of view. Being a scientist himself, it's clearly very important to him and what he considers to be "progress." He sees it as a way for the human race to return to what it once was. It's a hefty responsibility he's placed on his own shoulders so you can see why he would neglect other factors in his life, like being a more present father to his other son. Was he wrong? Probably. But once he loses his younger son, it slowly makes him reevaluate everything and he comes to the realisation that he was chasing the wrong thing all along. I liked this about him because it just makes him more human. He's a good man and a strong leader trying his best but ultimately, like the rest of us, still flawed.
12,000 years ago humans came together to form civilization. That meant the strong & young helping the old & weak. Why in Apocalyptic shows does it show humanity becoming all about the individual? Or is it just America?
saw the first 2 episodes, quite good so far, the part with the rats was a bit rushed though, that would have taken more than overnight to get resolved. so far so good though. can't wait for episode 3
After watching enough of this series my conclusion is this: Not Limited Enough Maybe if it came out in like 2000 before everyone and their dog made a post apoc type show. This is like "babies first outing" into the apocalypse.

I dunno, I wouldn't say amazing, and she is not a great actress but I think it's more the writing, it's pretty basic. I'm on episode 3.
