you should try making a seat closer to the transom. with less of the boat in the water the more stable it will be, this works as it reduces the surface area of the hull on the water. i had an 18hp tohatsu on a 3m punt that weighed about 35kg and it was fine. and drive with your left hand and use your strongest arm to hold the side of the boat. if you like speed you should look into a Thundercat boat they are very popular in Newzealand. have a look at my videos for an idea
@@DktheWelder thinking of just run it like it is so instead of the prop there will be the rear wheel...or find a gearbox of any sorts that will accept a chain drive
i wouldn't recomend the cheap chinesium impellers i have seen a few of them desentagrate after 10 hours of so. if i were you i would get a sierra or an oem impeller
It is sitting not being worked on , mostly because I have to work on it outside and the weather has been so bad , I’m hoping to get back into it this summer
@@DktheWelder ok thanks sooooooo much I have a 10 foot Jon boat and I wanna get a mud motor on but I also want to take like one of the kids jetskis well a small JetSki so I guess I don’t know what they’re called and put that motor in my 10 foot John boat but I’m 13 and I can’t do all that stuff. Can you let me know if it would be something I can do pretty easily. Thanks.
You have a lot of fun with minimal usage of money. I like that. Thank you.
Exactly, also it is like being kids again when out doing stuff with my brother
Love the vids man great content 👌 much love from Australia
Thanks! 👍
Hi, try to 3d print a prop 2 blade 6.1x8.8 to 3.3 outboard and test the new speed. Thanks for share.
cool ass lookin little boat you got there dude
Thanks , I was out in it today actually there is a video coming up about it
@@DktheWelder hell yeah ill check it out. im lookin for used motor for my shitty old canoe myself haha

I have been looking at Thundercats! Yes I am driving with the wrong hand haha. That boat must have been so fast with a 18hp!
Nice. Simple and fast!
Tiller extension will help. Short piece of conduit.
Yes it would but once on plane have to move to the back again 👍
need counter rotation for twin rig set up to run properly
O is that what they do? The hulls were at different heights too so that didn’t help
port=anti clockwise starboard=clockwise ...love your vids mate
Hahaha tying them together was a great idea
So we both sink at the same time haha, that’s the first time out without sinking actually!
i have the plan/idea to put a outboard engine in a dirtbike rolling frame. But i don't have a outboard yet to try that
Yes outboards are great power! How would you do the gearbox?
@@DktheWelder thinking of just run it like it is so instead of the prop there will be the rear wheel...or find a gearbox of any sorts that will accept a chain drive
i have always wanted to try this also but with a cvt gearbox and acouple expantion pipes would run well with the twin 2 strokes
Awesome mate 👏
The 5 is way better.
Good job 👍
Aussie Boat Guy 😎
Yeah its fast and revs out well , seems it takes a bit to get up on plane but I guess it is because the hull is so small

What were the boats max hp rated for
It’s fast
Lovn it
What’s happening with the cbr600 amphibious boat bro 🙌
It is sitting not being worked on , mostly because I have to work on it outside and the weather has been so bad , I’m hoping to get back into it this summer
@@DktheWelder makes sence bro this weather has been crap! Looking forward too seeing some videos in summer
Summer. Ha. We don’t have those anymore.
Just fun in little boats.
Awesome.
You should build a minijet Jet boat
So you can use 200hp to go as fast as 20hp?
Yes , I would need probably 30hp jet to match the 5hp outboard . I like jet boats but I like being able to carry the boat
How many mph on the 5hp
I’m guessing I went between 35-40 kph
