Tried the Scheps trick on a mix and OMG it made such a difference. It sounded so flat before and after trying this out it just sounds a lot more lively. Great tip!
The Scheps thing is great when you have a mix with lots of elements coming and going in the mix. Quick note, I think he does it in dual mono instead of stereo as well :)
Awesome! At some point I would love to watch a video about the uses of saturation, I've been trying to get some interesting sounds with it lately, would be really cool to hear some tips on the subject
Again awesome video & content, Miami! I´m gonne have to try that scheps rear bus thingy. You say every bus goes there except from the drums, right? so all instrument busses that is? Synths & strings in a dense rock mix as well?
Love The blue light background. Thank you for your knowledge... I m learning a lot with you, i see you use reaper as i do heheheheh . Keep it up... can you please do a video giving tips of how to Record guitar solos and mixing tips🤘🏾Horns up🇲🇿
Yo Miami! When using the rear bus trick, (which really works btw haha) do you send it to your 2 bus as well,? As in, does that signal combined with the full mix, go into your bus compressor, or do you route it straight to the master track? For context, I have an instrument bus and a vocal bus running into a 2 bus, where mixbus compression happens (and some other stuff) which I then send to a master track, where any loudness plugins are. Should the rear bus also go into the the mixbus comp or not? I'm doing it without now, and it sounds good. But wondering what's most common.
These mixes sound like demos.... 4:02 missing so much weight. No power, clarity or air. Its all vocals and sub bass and the guitars are thin mud. Excellent. Ill totally take tips from you.

He does do it in dual mono! In metal I found I prefer it in stereo tho, idly. Maybe I need to investigate further
-Miami
@@joeymusic oh that's good to know, I'll have to try. Just because of the hard panned dual rhythm guitars?
Yep, tried it on a rock song works great! It sounds terrible on acoustic/sparse songs tho.
Inspiring as always. From now on imma live my life all buttons in !
Thats the only way to live!

HARD KNEE!!!! massive attack into a quick release, wait that sounds dirty than “the rear bus technique”😮.

When I do it I send it to my 2 bus as well! But either way can work, it just depends which sounds better
-Miami
@@joeymusic Thanks dude! Tried both, both work! But into 2 bus and mix comp for now as it does seem to glue it even more!
