This level left a real mark on me. I dreamed of stuff like this, or was born with ideas of places similar. Clearly there is something more to this life than just what we see with our senses.
Now this level right here is why I play video games. The level of immersion in this level is unreal. I can't believe this game came out in 2004. Truly groundbreaking.
Ahh, so magic. Imagine the stars, night sky and girlfriend with you (and pack of templars with the crossbow near with you) Thanks PCF for this game, in my opinion the best first person shooter ever! Let's ROOOOOCK *plays the badass track from the docks, city on water or etc*
we all know the story of the tower of babel. humans try to build a tower to heaven, god says no, everyone speaks a different language, end of story. but we don't really know more than that. who's to say that lifelong friends were forever separated by that language divide? families split in two? husbands and wives, parents and children, all unable to understand each other. how would you feel if someone you loved started speaking what seemed like total gibberish and they looked at you like you were doing the same?
@@baremnachtwitz2920 Both are gods amongst men. The music is so amazing I can't stop playing it. This is literally one of the best soundtracks in the history of entertainment. The sheer atmosphere in these levels is unforgettable. The only problem with Painkiller is that it never received a proper sequel. But, I'm thankful for the experience we were blessed with. Revisq and Cedyn are fucking gods.
Волшебно.
the sky, the stars, this music.....this level is pure magic
All f*cking levels are magic
But are those stars even real?

this game had such a cool atmosphere.
And it came out in 2004. Just wow. Such a work of art
For me, this track represents mystery. There are so many mysteries to this world, still uncovered.

3:59 sounds like an collective image of ancient past in few seconds.
Magic soundtrack.
very good soundtrack. Guys who create this game are awesome. I'ts so pity that ppl have hard times right now
+Sobol Bękart I didn't know that. Maybe one of the bloggers, that I viewed, was misinformed me
I'm certain they've made the Vanishing of Ethan Carther about a year ago, so I think they're still in business ;)
Today's gamers having hard time remembering these soundtracks
@@jones8123 I will never forget the soundtrack to Painkiller. Never ever ever ever ever.
really magnificient smooth and relaxing ambient :3 galaxy full of stars floating behind the sky and clouds...i wish be there
Idk but this music sounds so nostalgic , and painkiller is a nice game🍾🌉🎮💙
4:24 the stars... they so distant now in this dead world...
I wonder if the stars in Purgatory are just a mirage.
@@NTxC почему ты так думаешь?
Favorite level!

Yeah,that really I wanna views
It's so magical. Everything in this game is just fantastic.
so mysterious sountrack
When I've played CB's Jericho, few last levels reminded me of Babel from Painkiller :o
Я: Вау, какой классный саундтрек, но почему вавилоняне оказались в чистилище?
Тоже я через несколько секунд: d'oh!

In other words. The feeling of dread
This game is a work of art. It's a giant shame it never received a proper sequel
the tower of babel was the closest to humanity's "original sin" as it gets, no wonder it's one of the last levels in Purgatory
2020 in quarantine. Great game!
se disfruta mucho escuchar y ver este video en las madrugadas jaja, tan misteriosa es esta musica y ese nivel en si
Track by Marcin "cedyn" czartynski
nope, by PAt "revisq" Gegniewicz.

The night sky, that really I want to show her here……But It's a pity that things went against one's wishes.
Hope everything works out for you in the end
Reminds me of Diablo 2
+brainjuice654 Hello Balnazzar :3 Let's kill that traitor Varimathras :D
Daniel Draxler Lol! Technically Varimathras isn't a traitor though, the whole thing was a setup.
The true traitors are forsaken...for the Lich King!
DLord Locke Yeah screw Sylvanas
