I was raised Catholic in and Italian family too. God led me to Orthodoxy after years of prayer and learning about the truth.

I am not sure what the specific hymn is called but it’s “Byzantine” music and has to do with the transfiguration.
Byzantine Christian art was so abstract for its time.

what is the name of the chant at the start?
They are hymns of the feast of the transfiguration... i couldn't tell you off the top of my head which ones they are. There technical words for hymns and liturgical melodies.
