Thanks for a great & informative video. After Mont Blanc this year, this peak is on my wish list. Please tell me, what is it like coming down: is there much down climbing or is it abseiling mostly?

How long it really took you from schwarzsee? To Hornli hutte and from Hornlihutte to the top of the Matterhorm? Do you khink I would be able to clime from bottom to the top in one day? (Im fast)
@@MaximilianGierl Thanks for the information. That is very nice of you. I have climbed mountains at 3k hight but they were just volcanos and regular mountains which do not required technical climbing. When i look at Matterhorn, it really temps but also scares me.
I'm planning to explore only as far as the Solvay Hut. I have some experience and skills but I don't want to be foolish; is a guide essential for that short climb?
I won’t tell you if it’s right for you to do so or not as I’ve never seen you climbing. So in the end it’s your choice. If in doubt take a mountain guide
Depends if you use the ropes at dent du geant or not. The exposure at the dent is much shorter as you feel it at the horn all the time. Also the route is way longer. But if you can walk up the dent easy you should be fine at the horu ✌️

We had 11 h from Zermatt up to the summit and back to schwazsee. But we been like 45 minutes on the summit to enjoy the view

We roped up at the fixed lines due to traffic, the rest without a rope ✌️

It’s officially grade 3+, but it’s not the difficulty of the climbing but the all over exposure, altitude and risk of rockfall which are challenging

Obviously if it's your first time. Other than that, you should be able to solo it in your 2nd go.
