I have a tube of this stuff... It does work & very fast, you can literally feel the skin tightening up. However, it does leave a residue which can flake like mad if you use too much or doesn't work at all if you put anything on top such as lotions, concealer, & foundation. It only firms the skin of your eye bags, but it does not cover up or lighten dark circles. I am 56 & my eye bags are about as droopy as this lady in the demo. I apply just a tiny dab & spread it out thinly with a small eye shadow brush (gentle pats, not brush strokes) so I don't get the layer of flakes when it dries. A little goes a long way but keep in mind this is just a temporary fix. Once you take it off, the eye bags return. I typically only use it when I am going out on special occasions (dinners, parties, etc.).
I appreciate you sharing this. My mom's been curious about trying Plexaderm or the like and I was gonna get some for her. She wouldn't be thrilled if this was her experience with it.

You could get the same result using hemorrhoid cream plus it does not look natural at all. I have tried almost everything to get the "perfect" skin. Anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and even retin A for 11 years straight. However, nothing made any real difference compared to high quality derma pen I got under 100 bucks. Within 3 months of use (Every 3 weeks), my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm in my 20s again, but definitely not 61 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, wrinkles around and eyes + nasolabial folds are way less prominent/nonexist. People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin.

It's so true. the reason it is not promoted as widely as pills, creams or procedures. This may be because it's such an inexpensive device so it does not generate major profits to all these "Surgeons". With just a tiny investment you get better results than 99.9% of the things (besides something major as facelift). Weirdly I am 50 and I have never used a drop of moisturizer or sunscreen or anything on my face and my face is really good as well, no wrinkles or age spots yet. I suppose my absolute disdain for the sun and the fact that I've never smoked and eaten a whole foods diet my whole adult life has helped. I suppose genetics play a role too, but my mother looked much older than her age when she died at 68 from smoking. Also, I suppose this woman just might have had a really hard life.

Too many to name lol and my dermatologist perscibes a retinol for my acne and can be used for wrinkles. So my insurance covers it thankfully. It also has helped a lot with old acne scars and uneven skin tone. It’s a long process and doesn’t fix overnight but with time, 6-12 months, I have definitely noticed a difference. Also have skin sensitivity and can’t use it in the winters around my eyes. Drys it out too much, doesn’t matter on the moisturizer. Anywho, it serves a purpose for more then one is ur

I’m 58 yrs old today… There’s some things in life that are completely out of our control. At 45 I had no wrinkles or gray hair. As soon as I went on hormone replacement that’s when my skin started to wrinkle, thinning skin, my pores started to enlarge & I was losing hair like crazy. I’m 58 now and I barely have any gray hair, however I’m on HRT dealing with high HSBG which causes DHT problems. I do use a special shampoo to keep my hair in my head but I wish there was something to keep my skin tight. I don’t smoke, drink alcohol or do drugs! I’m an avid bike rider! People are always focused on what they see… I think that it’s best to focus on what our eyes don’t see & that’s the condition of the heart & not the condition of the skin!

the product is from a brand called Peter Thomas Roth and its called "Instant Firm Eye". my mom has it. shes 48 and has bags, not as severe but they make her very self conscious. it works great for her!
When I worked at sephora, I recommended this stuff often. The only drawback is the white cast that it can leave if you use too much. One memorable moment a woman came in and had a funeral to attend where she'd be seeing people she had not seen in a long time. She wanted to feel beautiful and youthful again for this occasion, and she did! It was special to see her after that and know this stuff helped her so much!
@@michellemooresings only temporarily. Think of it as a liquid invisible tape that pulls the skin taught for the day. I personally don't believe that it would work for smile lines. If you are willing to wait for the results, tretinoin/retinol is great for lines. There's a lot of info on Dr Drays youtube channel that is simple & informative :)

I use it. The trick is to use it on clean skin, tap it in and DO NOT use too much! Keep it only on the soft undereye area. You cannot put anything over it either...so if you have very dark circles it isn't great. I can dab a powder foundation over.

This is because we understand that growing old and becoming less attractive is a simple fact, and dont rely on our appearance throughout our youth to gain social advantage, like most (not all) conventionally attractive women do. Its all well and good to spread this that and the other on your face or spend thousands on surgery, but at the end of the day the sooner you stop caring the sooner you can move on and stop stressing about such a minor problem. Fact is, people tend to pay attention to young women if they are pretty, and people tend to pay attention to older women if they cultivate a personality and an air of wisdom and knowledge. Serenity to know what you cant change, courage to change what you can, wisdom to know the difference. And you cant change ageing.
I've been using for years. It works just like this. You can avoid residue by ensuring there is no oil or lotion under your eyes. Must becdry and clean. If you do get residue you can hide it using PTR gel primer ...use a very light touch to avoid breaking the cast. Practice ... it is worth it.

Since it stops working if you put foundation or concealer over this product, what I do is use Bare Minerals powder foundation or any powder foundation over it and it works perfectly!!! You're welcome!😁

Peter Thomas Roth's products are awesome!! I use his Nighttime Retinol Serum. I always purchase from QVC. I also have 3 tubes of the product the lady in the video is using.
I bought it when this video went viral. It does work amazing but yes, the white residue is very noticable. If you rub it or try to clean it off (even gently) it stops working and the skin loosens again.

@@adrianmarti3888 Yes. You really have to practice to eliminate the ghosting. A damp Q Tip can blot off some of the excess. My issue is you can't wear concealer or foundation over it.
Sudden Change does the same thing, unfortunately it's only temporary....hence the reason I'm having a lower lid blepharoplasty in a few weeks. Can't wait😁... bye-bye bags!!!

I worked at Sephora from 2000-2010 and I had this same situation with an older woman in her late 60’s who was going to go to her upcoming class reunion. She had these exact eye bags and I had the idea to use PTR’s Firm X on only one eye, telling her I had no idea if it would work. I did explain that it would be a temporary result, but would work for a night out. She had the exact same results as this woman did and we were both truly amazed! It really does work for someone with this type of eye bags.

How true! And if you are not careful and put too much on it leaves a residue and you have to work on thinning it out. There used to be a product called Fix It or something like that. It worked easier and better, but they had some problems with an ingredient in it and it came off the market.
Also hemorrhoid gel works great for puffy eyes. I just recommend using a separate tube for your eyes and butt 😂 It's a tip I learned years ago doing some print modeling.
@@miaombak655 Agreed. I actually learned this trick by watching the movie Miss Congeniality back in the early 2000s. Results are temporary, obviously. My guess is the chemicals in hemorrhoid cream are made to tighten the skin on them in order to pull them back into place and thus get rid of them, so the same principle applies to the wrinkles under the eyes.
My son bought some for me last year over my objections. And I have to say that this stuff works. Yes, it's temporary. But when you and the family go out to dinner, it makes you feel good. I don't use it every day - far from it. I equate it to using Chanel No 5 or wearing a nice outfit when going out or using the special dishes for holiday dinner. It didn't shine or peel off; I only use facial powder over it. The nay-sayers should try it for themselves before passing down judgement.
I have this and the face tightener (accidentally ordered it thinking it was for eyes, but used it for them anyway) and it's AMAZING. Mom of 5 and nursing twins, I hate my eyebags. This with a light touch and powder hides the white cast.

I have a great tip for making dark circles so much better. I use Enchanted Eye Cream by Lush. It is the only thing that I have ever tried that helps with my dark circles. I don't know if it also works on bags because I only have dark circles.
I’ve been using it for over a year, not every day but often, it works. I don’t have really baggy skin more hollows, still helps. I’ll take a bit of residue over the circles any day.
I swear women look so amazing when they're of older age. Owning your wrinkles is a lot better than trying to look 20 forever imo. I can't describe it but people who embrace their age have such a quality to their beauty that young people don't have. They're just beautiful in a different way. Of course do what you want, if it makes you feel better not to have baggy eyes, go for it. But doing it because it's expected of you is just unnecessary anxiety. Maybe it's the historical way of thinking that fertility somehow determines your worth, but man do we live in an age where it shouldn't matter anymore. She was beautiful before and after!

Try on a small area first. Many ppl have a reaction to it. Do not use too much or it will get white and flakey. Do not try and do a second coat on top it will get messy.
I worked in cosmetics for a long time. And I am very familiar with PTR. They make and eye and face cream and both are insanely amazing. They’re a temporary fix and do nothing to help in the long run but for events or even day to day this stuff is outstanding.
I used to sell a product that did this when I worked for a shady skincare company but it was labeled as a serum. It really was incredible seeing the men & women get so happy seeing the difference & I used it a few times & can honestly say it didn't leave a residue behind but definitely had adhesives in it.

When I worked at sephora, I recommended this stuff often. The only drawback is the white cast that it can leave if you use too much. One memorable moment a woman came in and had a funeral to attend where she'd be seeing people she had not seen in a long time. She wanted to feel beautiful and youthful again for this occasion, and she did! It was special to see her after that and know this stuff helped her so much!

@@michellemooresings only temporarily. Think of it as a liquid invisible tape that pulls the skin taught for the day. I personally don't believe that it would work for smile lines. If you are willing to wait for the results, tretinoin/retinol is great for lines. There's a lot of info on Dr Drays youtube channel that is simple & informative :)

I use it. The trick is to use it on clean skin, tap it in and DO NOT use too much! Keep it only on the soft undereye area. You cannot put anything over it either...so if you have very dark circles it isn't great. I can dab a powder foundation over.

I've been using for years. It works just like this. You can avoid residue by ensuring there is no oil or lotion under your eyes. Must becdry and clean. If you do get residue you can hide it using PTR gel primer ...use a very light touch to avoid breaking the cast. Practice ... it is worth it.
It does work and yes it also leave a think film over applied area.

I worked at Sephora from 2000-2010 and I had this same situation with an older woman in her late 60’s who was going to go to her upcoming class reunion. She had these exact eye bags and I had the idea to use PTR’s Firm X on only one eye, telling her I had no idea if it would work. I did explain that it would be a temporary result, but would work for a night out. She had the exact same results as this woman did and we were both truly amazed! It really does work for someone with this type of eye bags.

I've used it. The problem is that you cannot wear it over moisturizer or with concealer or foundation. Really only works on bare skin

How true! And if you are not careful and put too much on it leaves a residue and you have to work on thinning it out. There used to be a product called Fix It or something like that. It worked easier and better, but they had some problems with an ingredient in it and it came off the market.

@@miaombak655 Agreed. I actually learned this trick by watching the movie Miss Congeniality back in the early 2000s. Results are temporary, obviously. My guess is the chemicals in hemorrhoid cream are made to tighten the skin on them in order to pull them back into place and thus get rid of them, so the same principle applies to the wrinkles under the eyes.
My son bought some for me last year over my objections. And I have to say that this stuff works. Yes, it's temporary. But when you and the family go out to dinner, it makes you feel good. I don't use it every day - far from it. I equate it to using Chanel No 5 or wearing a nice outfit when going out or using the special dishes for holiday dinner. It didn't shine or peel off; I only use facial powder over it.
The nay-sayers should try it for themselves before passing down judgement.

I have a great tip for making dark circles so much better. I use Enchanted Eye Cream by Lush. It is the only thing that I have ever tried that helps with my dark circles. I don't know if it also works on bags because I only have dark circles.

I swear women look so amazing when they're of older age. Owning your wrinkles is a lot better than trying to look 20 forever imo. I can't describe it but people who embrace their age have such a quality to their beauty that young people don't have. They're just beautiful in a different way. Of course do what you want, if it makes you feel better not to have baggy eyes, go for it. But doing it because it's expected of you is just unnecessary anxiety. Maybe it's the historical way of thinking that fertility somehow determines your worth, but man do we live in an age where it shouldn't matter anymore. She was beautiful before and after!

Try on a small area first. Many ppl have a reaction to it. Do not use too much or it will get white and flakey. Do not try and do a second coat on top it will get messy.

I worked in cosmetics for a long time. And I am very familiar with PTR. They make and eye and face cream and both are insanely amazing. They’re a temporary fix and do nothing to help in the long run but for events or even day to day this stuff is outstanding.
I used to sell a product that did this when I worked for a shady skincare company but it was labeled as a serum. It really was incredible seeing the men & women get so happy seeing the difference & I used it a few times & can honestly say it didn't leave a residue behind but definitely had adhesives in it.
