Amazing camera work on this one too, btw. The stationary camera position on them straight away pulls should a staple of every ride along video from here on out. Really gives you an accurate feel for the speed
Why are people disrespecting the g35 that car was ahead of its time, 2005 and almost 300hp in a v6 (rev up) name another car that made that much power that was a v6 in the same year and wasn’t even a high end car but just nissans luxury coupe

lilripsta111 yes but you're overlooking all the other issues like wiring, custom mounts, different weight distribution , transmission to engine adapters, etc etc It's easy to look at just the engine
4feeterszwagier it all adds up yea but the same goes with vq , you need a turbo kit which most start at 6k+ and you need another 4 to 6k just to rebuild/tune etc..
You can get away with going the "cheaper" route on the vq if you do all the work yourself. for instance, build your own kit, new internals, and do your own tuning (whether that be uprev or a standalone). However with the 2jz swap its gonna be expensive regardless because lots of things do not work well together in harmony. But thats not the point of this build, he wanted to be a unique--and honestly it is. You do not see many swapped g35 coupes. I appreciate the build, (but in the end you right you'll be near 10k margin for 600-800 whp on a vq depending on how you do it).

Hows the reliability for this build? Do you have lots of problems? Also 25psi is that your daily driving tune? I'm assuming your running some stand alone management system. Do you have different tunes for different occasions? I had an 05 Infiniti G35 and I tried putting a turbo on the VQ35DE engine and within 3 months I was having all sorts of problems. Ive never considered a 2JZ swap (as ive been looking for turbo type engines) I just find that when I turbocharged my 3.5 liter (and no I left the internals stock but the problem is aftermarket parts for that engine are expensive) I'm sure it's not super cheap for the 2JZ engine but I hear they can handle power way better than the VQ's... Also what transmission did you end up using? See the 2JZ's on eBay with 6 speed manuals already attatched but I'm sure space is the reason most dont use the stock manual supra transmission... I love the sound, I think that purple color is unique and I like it. Your car is an amazing machine.

Welcome To The Madness just remember to build it for 700hp+ but keep seperate tunes(e.g. you can ride the limiter and save fuel on a street tune around 500-600hp and press a few buttons to change in between tunes). I own a 1jz in a car that came with a RB and it runs a 2jz loom and computer, its smart but also had unforeseen wiring problems (most of the retainer clips where actually snapped but sat in place to look "ok" but this made the next engine swap extremely difficult and time consuming as they where very broken when i took it the engine out and couldnt be repaired ) dont do what i did. just get a aftermarket computer and get it rewired top to bottom with a hot rod style loom they are high quality, universal, cheap and best of all its practically 1 big plug to change it plus you get options to tune for higher rpm ranges(fuel/spark cut🔥), launch control, true antilag and the special things like being able to run E85 or two sets of injectors
