I was filling up visa application for 491 regional (NSW), where I got a question says ”Is this applicant claiming parter skills points ” and I chose no as partner doesn’t have a skills assessment or nominated occupation. Only claiming points for Competent language which is 5 points. I don’t have a space to enter language details under partner tab. After submitting the application, on the checklist there is no option to upload language report under partner document required. Cannot even find additional documentation section too Appreciate your efforts to answer this query.

The Albanese Government is definitely doing the right thing for streamlining visa pathways. Independent visas seem to be getting the headway they deserve yet I'm frustrated I'm still waiting for my 186 visa - 9 months and counting. Surely a business sponsored visa shouldn't take this long to process. The processing times have almost tripled since my application went in/ the change in Government.

Hi Karl, thanks for these fantastic informative videos. I have recently got my invitation for 190 but there is one issue, where I have been asked to provide residency proof. I have provided all my documents to them, everything possible but I never had utility bills, phone bills or rental contract as I stayed in shared accommodation with no legit contracts. What are other ways to prove my legitimacy of stay in a state. I provided my licence and my bank statements, payslips etc for the past two years. Do you reckon this will be enough. I even provided clarification and supporting letter from people that I am staying with. What should I do in this case?
Jam great to hear you got your invitation. You can only give what you can and I guess you are talking about the state requirments for sponsorship. Supporting letters and bank statements are always a good idea

Yes, absolutely. If the 491 is granted first and the PR later then the PR will just cancel the 491 for you. If the 189 is granted first, you must ensure the 491 visa is withdrawn otherwise it might cancel your PR Mahmudur

Sir, They gave refusal for my brother’s visa. Everything was genuine and they even didn’t checked the COE and gave reason for refusal Because he is coming for bechelors in business which was wrong. He applied for master’s in agriculture. And his coe is also for masters.

Hi Karl and the team, I wish to seek advice from you regarding the pre-invitation for WA 190. I am an offshore applicant applying for subclass 190. I received WA invitation today through the General Stream WASMOL Schedule 1. One of the employment criteria under the schedule 1 is to have at least 6 month full time contract of employment in WA in my nominated occupation. I have 7.5 years of working experiences in NZ with no working experiences in Australia or WA. I was not aware of this when I applied EOI WA. I applied under the impression that WA accepts offshore applicants. Will I get rejected from receiving invitation from DHA ? Why would the State Government invite offshore applicants without WA working experiences (eg: me) if this is one of the invitation criteria?

Jitendra if you leave Australia only holding a BVC you will not have permission to re-enter. You may choose to wait offshore for your 491 grant which is fine to do so if you like.

Hello Karl, I don’t understand why people are moving to WA! Right now it’s the worst place to get PR we are waiting 190 for long time with higher points and experience while other states are raining PR. WA is just tricking people here inviting everyone like crazy and not giving PR to anyone or the deserving ones who worked and studied here and they have changed the processing time again leaving more longer wait you keep saying about other states but you never talk about WA and why they aren’t giving PR to WA Residents. It’s so not fair you study and work here during covid and when it’s time to apply PR you’re being neglected totally so frustrating to wait and see the long waiting period for 190 while the 189 is raining and they are getting PR in 3months while the 190 people are waiting 11months and more and still nothing. And now again they have increased processing times what does that mean?? You keep saying millions of backlog is getting down is that backlog excludes WA ??don’t understand what’s going on can you talk to home affairs about what’s going on WA. I think it’s the worst State to live in now.

Hi Karl, great video. I received a 189 invitation but my CPA skill assessment expired in September 2022. I already applied for a 491 visa and not sure what to do at this point. Do you think it's a good idea to withdraw the 491 application and pursue the 189 visa?
I cannot believe that I did not update my skill assessment but I never thought I would get a 189 invitation. I was happy with the 491 visa but letting go of a 189 invitation is not very easy. Should have been the happiest day of my life but it was easily one of the most stressful days.

Hey any update on processing time for granting Aus visa under 190 visa. Processing time in website is average 5-7months. However, eagerly waiting for PR, post lodging in November.

I think you can expect about 12 months but idepends upon your occupation
Let’s hope Feb 2023 invitation round, while certainly not going to be another 35000, large enough (2000 hopefully) that people who just missed their document deadline could get invited again. End the immigration limbo together.

Jitendra if you leave Australia only holding a BVC you will not have permission to re-enter. You may choose to wait offshore for your 491 grant which is fine to do so if you like.

I don’t understand why people are moving to WA! Right now it’s the worst place to get PR we are waiting 190 for long time with higher points and experience while other states are raining PR. WA is just tricking people here inviting everyone like crazy and not giving PR to anyone or the deserving ones who worked and studied here and they have changed the processing time again leaving more longer wait you keep saying about other states but you never talk about WA and why they aren’t giving PR to WA Residents. It’s so not fair you study and work here during covid and when it’s time to apply PR you’re being neglected totally so frustrating to wait and see the long waiting period for 190 while the 189 is raining and they are getting PR in 3months while the 190 people are waiting 11months and more and still nothing. And now again they have increased processing times what does that mean?? You keep saying millions of backlog is getting down is that backlog excludes WA ??don’t understand what’s going on can you talk to home affairs about what’s going on WA. I think it’s the worst State to live in now.
