Thank you Ramsey for all these vintage suggestions ! From this list I can wear Green Irish Tweed and Drakkar Noir, but only in the fresh summer nights. For a daytime wear, my suggestins are : 6. Acqua di Parma - Fico di Amalfi 5. Acqua di Parma - Chinotto di Liguria 4. Voyage d'Hermes (I have the edt) 3. Xerjoff - Renaissance (it's a lemonade in a bottle) 2. L' artisan - Premier Figuier 1. Creed - Virgin Island Water Summer is my favourite time of the year. The best for mountain climbing. Scent Of This Day : L' artisan - Seville a L' Aube (vintage). What a fantastic combination of Petitgrain, Beeswax and Orange Blossom ! Cheers my brother...
Absolutely loved this one Ramsey, an absolutely fantastic list. Equipage Geranium is one of my absolute favourites, probably one of the best ever flankers! 👌🔥
80's kid here. Old enough to remember "summer fragrances" being 1-2 sprays your old favorites instead of 3-4 in cooler weather. Closest to summer frags for me back in the day was Guerlain Vetiver and Hermes Eau d'Orange Verte(replaced now with Les Indemodables Chypre Azural). Didn't know of summer fragrances until I discovered a fragrance community a few years ago. Even before that I was gravitating to more citrus, cologne, vetiver based frags with scents like Chanel Allure Homme Sport Cologne, Dior Homme Cologne and vetivers like TF Grey Vetiver, Guerlain Vetiver, Terre d'Hermes. Great content as always Ramsey👍
My top 5 vintage summer 1 Lauder for Men Estée Lauder 2 Drakkar Noir Guy Laroche 3 Acqua di Sale Profumum Roma 4 Eau de Sport Lacoste 5 Bon Monsieur Rogue Perfumery
I'm not sure if you'd like it because you said you're not a huge fan of Eau Sauvage, but Eau de Patou is AMAZING. It's like halfway between Eau Sauvage and Diorella. Has a skanky, melon citrus vibe. So good.
eau d'hermes is probably the big one on my most wanted list at this point. probably gonna need alot of patience too lol, you can find it for ~$100 but there'll be like one listing on ebay here and there...typically not a vintage one either. as always, awesome video dude! also i got one of those Horizon bottles from a discounter for like 5 bucks or something when it was on clearance....smelled spoiled at first but now over time it cleared up and its become an awesome (basically) summer flanker of vintage drakkar noir, suprising oakmoss level!
Hey Ram, I love the concept of classic frags for situational contemporary wear! You’ve touched on it before but what are your thoughts on Versace L’Homme? I thought it could be right up your alley (leathery, pissy etc :D)
☆Loved the list, and great video overall! I'm having fun wearing Baryshnikov cologne, circa 1987-8. It has a sweet, tart, fresh green and musky scent. It is great for work...I will definitely be watching to learn more from you and your show-subbed up☆
Thanks for another one. You mentioned a few vintage fragrances that can be had for not much trouble or money, and I wonder if you’d ever thought about expanding that idea into a full-length video. Something for us newbies to perfume who might be curious about vintage stuff but daunted by eBay searches and giant asking prices. EDIT: I’d say giant prices are $250 and up, but obviously debatable/relative.
I can’t believe you mentioned Turbo! My Dad went through a couple of bottles of Turbo when I was a kid. He still has about a 1/3 of an old bottle from the 80’s in his medicine chest. I didn’t think anyone knew about it anymore.
Holy Moley, I cannot believe you mentioned Byblos. I used to have a lot of their fragrances at one time years ago, long before there were any perfume channels. Ramsey, you are amazing and come up with fragrances that make some of us either Jump up and dance or start dancing either with an available friend or just still in a trance.
@@RamseytheRam agree. Also if you do go sniffing it don't get it mistaken with the mfk gentle fluidity gold since that is supposed to be the women's version (smells like a more refined version of intense cafe if you ask me)
Haven’t seen this yet but might as well drop a comment now AND after I finish watching it. Personally I’m a fan of aquatics but they’re really a one-and-done for me. You don’t need more than one aquatic. I actually want to try new west and a few more of those proto aquatic scents. My scent of the day is Entre Deux Guerres by Sultan Pasha. It’s an amber composition with no florals but feels super floral to my nose. Very classical in feel, big fan.
Great video. I honestly don’t wear fragrances by season. I wear them based on how I feel when I wake up, or what I am wearing, or several other factors. None of which are weather related. It is going to be 90 and humid today in Yukon, Oklahoma and I’m wearing Masque Milano Tango, so I just wear what I like, when I want.
@@RamseytheRam yes, this is the way. The “popular” community tries to direct you and influence you to be a seasonally fragrant person, but I have never fallen into that agenda. I wear what smells good to me. If you wear it confidently, compliments will come, notoriety will come, and if it doesn’t; you have no disappointment because you are wearing it for your personal reasons.
