It's great that I see so much love from American people. I don't claim any connection to Davy, except he lived a mile from me. I can vouch from his mannerisms that he was a very human person. He possessed the same friendly and down-to-earth traits as the people from Openshaw/Gorton in Manchester. That's before saying he was a great, talented and lovable performer.
Always and ever charmimg! I never tire of my fave Monkee singing my fave Monkee song! So sad for his family he died so young. Very missed by many! 💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟
He owned a house in a town i lived in when I was 5 or so. I didn't know who he was at the time. But my old man would go out n have a beer with him some times.
Gracias por compartir; si lo recordamos nunca se iea de nuestras vidas. ¿Cuantas veces habra cantado esta cancion ? Este tema era de él ; amo su sonrisa...
this whole time thing and how quickly it passes is making my brain short circuit , 1995 was only like 5 years ago but when i check it with a calculator 2023 - 1995 = 28 and thats just not possible , those that know music know that The Monkees was one hard hitting band and far from the joke people made them out to be
Homecoming kings and queens are students in a high school or college who are ceremonially chosen to precide over events such as rallys during a schools Homecoming Week. It's usually early in the year and helps bring students together to celebrate school spirit during the homecoming football game. What does it mean in relation to the song? Nobody knows! 😂 It doesn't make sense!
That was actually the last thing he ever did. He was riding his horse on the track the morning of his death. He was in his car at the track when he suffered a fatal heart attack
It's not unusual for someone who spends most of his life touring. Either as an actor or musician he spent 90% of his life away from home. Most marriages wouldn't survive that.
It’s now 2023 and I still love watching Davy! What a great guy❣️ RIP Davy ❤😢

We worked with him at Disney. He was one of the nicest guys ever. We have a video in our archives and when I find it I will post it.
Oh boy that's interesting, do you recall any stories from that time with Davy?
@@sheilatorres5312 Let me see if I can find the video so I'll be accurate
@@sheilatorres5312 espero lo encuentres...saludos desde elmsur del.mundo

This made my day! I still melt when I see videos with Davy. Rest in the heavens dear Davy!
I loved still love Davy Jones and I met him and Micky at a Monkee Concert in August of 1994 !
Was that by chance at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas? I might have been there
Good god Davy was popular when the Monkees we're on TV. Good to see he's doing good and singing a song I loved
I love Davy Jones
That was very, VERY, Nice! Thank you, for posting.
Davy Jones was always an excellent personality, singer and entertainer.
He owned a house in a town i lived in when I was 5 or so. I didn't know who he was at the time. But my old man would go out n have a beer with him some times.
He never lost a single bit of his accent. 😊
Hard to believe he's been gone 11 years already..
He sounded absolutely amazing
That he did!
Awwwwwwww miss him so much
always in my memories
Awww Davy ❤️
My first love + he’s still got it ❤ Cried when Monkees run ended

It was a great loss to the music and television worlds when we lost David Thomas Jones.
Quentin Tarantino needs to use that song in a movie
It was used in the Marvel series WandaVision on Disney+.
Terrible that he died so young ❤

I wanna see Gilbert!!!!
So cool! Can you upload the whole show?
Do you happen to have the entire, unedited episode?
❤️
Is that Marcia Brady at 3:09?
No. But later that year (1995) Davy would cameo in The Brady Bunch Movie and sing the song Girl that he originally sang on that show in 1971
I like the person in the audience with the pasted on sideburns with the sunglasses and the monkey hat
He's representing Mike Nesmith. I don't know if those three are just fans or Tonight Show employees planted in the audience.
I live Davy Jones! He looks and sounds great here , as always !! ( Didn't care for the horn section ...it doesn't go well with this song)
You can hear Jay Leno's natural English accent slip out at 1:55.
They should have put those 3 guys behind him
I’m Australian what is a home coming queen ?

Davy is in his 50th year here, and he looks and sounds great.
49th actually. His birthday was December 30th 1945 so he had just turned 49 a few days earlier.
Who knew that just paint any old record for the award?
Davy was the best, but l'm sorry l can't stand Jay Leno.. barf.
R.I.P.,Sweet Davy
What happened to his voice that he couldn’t sing smoothly?
Thirty years?
He could sing smoothly, he just chose not to, (not a great choice.), kind of like he was tired of the song..
He was almost 50 by this time. Obviously he couldn't sing just like he did when he was in his early 20s.
Voices change as you get older, some more than others.
He wanted to be a horse jockey at one time in his life he did not so he became a Monkee.
That was actually the last thing he ever did. He was riding his horse on the track the morning of his death. He was in his car at the track when he suffered a fatal heart attack
Tarantino looks pissed off being upstaged by Davy Jones…him and his movies are way over rated anyway
It's hard to believe that Davy Jones is just plain-old sucked at marriage. Having 2 wives and 2 daughters from a previous marriage.
It's not unusual for someone who spends most of his life touring. Either as an actor or musician he spent 90% of his life away from home. Most marriages wouldn't survive that.
