Thanks! I fly into Istanbul Sunday morning. I have a long layover I was thinking of venturing in the city. Any suggestions? Do you have a translation list of these phrases and more? I would be happy to tip you again!
I always find that when I say things in another person's language... immediately followed by the same phrase in English, they know I am trying to be very respectful of their culture and language, but I am probably going to be limited.
We just came back from Istanbul 2 weeks ago. We have watched your videos before we went there and found them very useful. Thank you so much! Please do travel to other cities in Turkey and share some infos. Keep it up and wish you all the best for your channel! 🤗❤️
You are so helpful and informative. Appreciate your proper research. In the process of arranging my Turkish visit - so excited and looking forward to it
Useful video. At least I learned some important Turkish words and it's translation. I urge you to make many more such videos. You are doing a great job.
Nasilsin,, thanks for sharing such an informative video. I have watched many of your videos and enjoy them as they are informative and good guides to visiting Turkey 🇹🇷 I have subscribed to your channel so I can continue to learn more about a great country like Turkey with the friendliest people. God bless you🙏
Hello Bery, How long did it take you to fluently speak Turkish? I am currently learning it now and hopefully, immersion in Ankara about two years from now. Just learning Turkish on my own.
Thank you Betty for another excellent and useful video. Mi esposa y yo hemos practicado estas y mas frases, y vamos a usarlas cuando estemos en Turquia otra vez, te lo aseguro. Thank you to your husband too, for allowing us to listen the pronunciation from a local in Turkey.
Hello, thanks for this informative video!!! Would you reply 'Hoş bulduk' in all situations or only certain situations? I was in Izmir in 2020 briefly and I didn't hear any Turks replying this at the grocery store check outs, but perhaps I wasn't paying enough close attention. I'm returning to Turkey soon. Is this appropriate to reply going through the Migros check out when the teller says 'Hoşgeldiniz'? Also, I am enjoying your other videos, subscribed! :)
Very interesting and useful Turkish words and phrases, too. l also like the fact your husband helps a lot, too with his own Turkish pronunciation. Awesome teamwork and well edited videos. Thank you, #Bery (wife-and-husband team). 💙💐💐💐👏👏👏
I just realized that I understand Turkish with some difficulty although I have never been to Turkey. It seems that Turkish is very close to my Kazakh language. It seems that the Turkish grammar is the same and half of phrases you said sounds the same in English. I understand Uzbek with the difficulty from my travels to Uzbekistan. I think I should be okay when I travel to Turkey next year. I am fluent in English, Russian and Kazakh so I hope I can get by using these languages there with my American friends
The easiest way to teach people a language is the callan method... because no one needs to learn vowels, consonants, past and future tenses throughout their lives. These are things that those who want to become teachers have to learn.........
@@BeryIstanbulTips thank you very much for the quick reply! Very useful video! I'm from Bulgaria and many of my fellow Bulgarians are flooding Turkey in the weekends for shopping. I also wish I could visit Mexico, especially the Puerto Escondido area, Playa Zipolite and so on. Love from Burgas, Bulgaria! ❤️

Using Turkish terminologies isn't a problem.. it's when the locals start responding in Turkish and you don't understand what they are saying :')
That's when you say Anlamıyorum lol
Very true!
This! I'm struggling when they respond

You are gifted, clearly. Your ability in written English is equal to most of that acomplished by my fellows.
U r travel guide.
The problem is that if you ask a question in Turkish, you may not be able to understand the reply 🤓as happened to me
That's literally happening to me right now in Istanbul 😑
You guide ❗❗
Woow está bien difícil!!! Voy a tener que practicar mucho Jaja ya no sé qué es más difícil si alemán o turco
My favorite word is Şerefe.
Did you say that some people speak Spanish? Wow. Que interesante!
Yes! Here Spanish is quite popular and many Turkish are learning it. At the most touristic places people will speak Spanish and English for sure :)
Pahalı
Hi, thank you for the video. Could you, please, also tell how can I say “good afternoon”, “good evening” and “table for two, please”.
Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good afternoon/evening: iyi akşamlar
Good morning: iyi günler
Table for two: iki kişilik masa, lütfen.
Hope this helps!
Bery Istanbul Tips Thank you! And what about günaydın for good morning? What is more local guy style like?
Thank you very much. How can I say "it's delicious" in turkish?
Hi! You can say “çok lezzetli” or “çok lezzetliyidi”, the last one is in past tense.
Çok is pronounced as “chok”
Hope it helps!

So useful to hear a woman and a man say the words
Sometimes goodbye is Igille

Has anyone ever picked up a Dolphin Torch that didn’t have a flat or nearly flat battery?
