men, whatever he sounds like at live gigs, it doesn't mather.. cause when you are standing in the crowd you only hear yourself sing and the album versions in your head.. MAD FER IT
Never heard this version before his voice sounds fuckiing amazing in this even better than maine road is there any more songs from this session on youtube
@Owen Strawder 93' his voice was the clearest but the perfect Liam voice is the mixture of the youthfulness from the 90s but also the grit and pure rock 'n roll from later years
Its not to do with drinking because noel drinks, Liam has a Nasal vocal structure therefore things such as cocaine etc fuck up his nose consequently resulting in a more rough voice.
vSpiikey his hashimotos has been treated and while it sounds a lot better it still isn't near as good as it was back then. Guess it's partially the effects of hashimotos in the long run as well as, and mostly imo, his technique.
I'd say a rock lifestyle doesn't go well with Hashimoto's disease as it can be worsened by smoking and drinking, this is maybe why the lifestyle had more effect on Liam's voice than Noel's, aside from his singing stance putting his vocal cords under more strain. I think he had cut back a lot on the drinking during the SOTSOG sessions so that's maybe a factor in why his voice was so great in 99/early 00 but when touring started again and heavy drinking his voice was was going downhill by summertime of 00
@@generalcustard1 Hashimoto can cause muscle weakness, and that's what happening with liam's voice. The lifestyle, drugs blabla it's just crap. Vocal cords aren't real chords you know, they don't strain so much when sing, the only thing is they can stack fast when u attack singing that can cause callous, but it can be treated easily with surgery. But if only one muscle in your throat dont support you as they did, the way u sing will change, no matter what.
@@Skate771parts I'm amazed by his comeback. I still think his prime was in the period mentioned but I would rate his current run (since As You Were) not too far behind it. Quite amazing.
This is an excellent performance for sure, but for everyon saying this is his peak or the best performance of the song… 1993 th-cam.com/video/GMcaXykgeOs/w-d-xo.html 1995 th-cam.com/video/eGmVEE32R9Q/w-d-xo.html Light years ahead of this
@@craiganderson275 in retrospect, sure I agree with you. Even his voice in Beady Eye was better. But early 2008 his vocals was definitely better than 2006, although he was cutting his lines short at least he wasn't slurring through most of them. But as the tour goes on his voice just went very shouty and not having any power at all.

Ethan Vought Best voice period imo.
'97/'00 best period
voice is crap here….
@@nunzioforpresident stfu gay
jl renegade No it isn’t.
This is the best Liam's voice has ever sounded!
Right up there this one. BUT, I do LOVE his voice during the warm up tour of 1999. That was perfect.
What a fucking Rock'n'Roll Star! His voice is bang on here, just the right edge from the gruffness. I'd have this at my funeral.
this is the best version. FACT.......and deserve to be heard for anyone fucking man in this world
men, whatever he sounds like at live gigs, it doesn't mather.. cause when you are standing in the crowd you only hear yourself sing and the album versions in your head..
MAD FER IT
whenever I want to feel "mega" I put on this song on, on ridiculously high volume
Anyone who can listen to this without their ears ringing afterwards have got major issues ;)
Best version ever, Liam's vocal peaked and the band are tight as fuck
Myriad his voice sounds better here than in knebworth
Nah his voice peaked during the WTSMG tour. The Earl's Court version destroys this one.
@@masonmennell8514 it was sung in the second night as an encore
@@hu-dp2kx ur right
i put this on thinking it was the 93 sessions, my god was i pleasantly surprised

Nice one cheers
Live at Maida Vale Studios 20.01.2000: Sunday Morning Call, Rock 'N' Roll Star, Who Feels Love?, Talk Tonight, My Generation
He just Shreds the vocals like a king in this one
1999-2000 is when I think Liam had his best voice.

@@jl.renegade yes, is rock n roll pure
@@skywalker2230 back in 2000 he lost his voice for ever... too much touring, too much coke.
"Toniiiiggghhht... I'm A Rock`n`Roll Staarrr" Great session lads!!! x
BBC radio sessions, but recorded in the evening
it sounds better than having an 'afternoon session' haha
Best recorded version of this classic ❤
I need them to come back....=(
He became LG in this era but then it quickly fizzled out 4 years later. RIP LG’s vocal cords but the spirit and body lives on
Why the fuck have I only seen this now?
Heard you mean.
Easily the best live version I've ever heard.
Harmony at 3.30 is simply biblical
Yes i do think all-time
Sound man sorts it right out👍
This is fucking brilliant it’s 1 of the best songs Oasis have but this sounds really good ✌🏼
This might just be the best performance of this song.
Godlike
Damn!
Voice very good in this
Liam “God” Gallagher
Oasis música for ever 2022.
Great band.
Good Lord... WOW!
Top Choon Gr8 Noise ....

@MrJonbadger couldnt be more right, fucking spot on.

I don't know about it, it depends on your tastes but yes I think it is😉
definitely maybe
I think so. It’s more rough.
YES
this is the best version to be honest
fuckin great!!!!!!!!!
✌🏻
What are the " Evening Session" ? A radio program ?
The best version of Rock n Roll Star end of!
Let me get this straight; this is the Radio 1 evening session in 2000? Did they do anything else that night?
Enjoy

He could sing like this now instead of shouting it
sun she ine......
twstrchasr Sunshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine
At the peak of his powers.
Best live version of this song ever!
@pspcrazy205 Liam's performance on this one was really great. The cigs and alcohol have destroyed Liam's voice. That's sad.
some of the 2005 gigs he was amazing.
Its not to do with drinking because noel drinks, Liam has a Nasal vocal structure therefore things such as cocaine etc fuck up his nose consequently resulting in a more rough voice.
Charlie Rivers-Bland He has Hashimoto's disease. Google it if confused.

Liams vocals were stunning up to and including 2000 - after that it went a bit downhill imo. Hope he will return to form with Beady Eye!
Well… What’s your take now 12 years later? lol
@@Skate771parts I'm amazed by his comeback. I still think his prime was in the period mentioned but I would rate his current run (since As You Were) not too far behind it. Quite amazing.
it's such a shame he couldn't maintain this voice, but i guess its this exact voice that ruined it anyway so cant have both can ya
Feel like you can blame the Be Here Now tour for a lot of the damage. Listen to all around the world at Earl's Court, christ on a bicycle
Please. Liam's voice started going around / after Knebworth.
It just didn't get completely shot until ~2000.
Fuckin Quality version

2000-2001 and 2005-2006 was the worst voice of Liam the best was 93 to early 2000 and 2002 and 2008-2009 this is just my opinion
2008/09 was fucking dreadful. Worse than dreadful even. Good lord.

@bocks80
It's the way he sings. He sings with his throat. That's why he lost his voice. It's got nothing to do with cigs & alcohol nor drugs.
well what's yer opinion even Liam at his worst is still fuckin top i'm just saying that's all
Turn it off
Great is Slide Away, or Listen Up, or almost anything he sang in the period 94-96.
This is just sad.
