Mister Rogers was such an amazing man. There are really no words to describe how wonderful of a man he was. I still remember watching him every morning before school. I also still remember hearing about his passing. I was getting ready for school, and when I heard that he had passed, I just broke down. I was so upset when I heard about that. I was just thinking about all the things he taught us, and did for us. I always say that we need more people like him out there. If you ever feel upset or mad about something, it’s always good to talk about it, because it can give you a really good feeling
i never really watched Mr. Rogers as a kid so i didn't get to attached to him but now, seeing how this man made and improved so many childhoods, kinda wanna cry.
Wow, I never knew before that the reason why he zipped up his sweaters that way was because he wore a microphone on his tie. Nice to keep learning something new about his show after all these years. I guess I was just 2-3 years old when this interview was filmed. So glad I grew up when the show was still running.
Here's a true story, 40 years ago I worked at a summer camp and I had a group of boys aged 9 @ 10 and were very familiar with Mr. Rogers. So one day after lunch which was when they used to write letters, I suggested how about if we send a letter to Mr. Rogers and tell him about us and that we think he's a real cool guy? They all agreed and didn't think much more about it. About 2 weeks later he wrote us back personally! The kids went crazy they were so delighted ! He sent pictures and information and thanked us for thinking of him and he personally thanked me as a counselor for taking an interest in children and showing them love and respect! To this day I have never forgotten this moment!!!!!
