She is so grateful for the time she had with him. There is no bitterness, no hidden emotion, although it is quite obvious how much she misses him. But her gratefulness is bigger than that. She seems to be in such a peaceful place, it's remarkable. That's how I would like to be one day.

OMG, she is a SPLITTING image of my childhood piano teacher who taught me so much about music. And Joanne was a pianist herself. People born around that time (1920s and 30s, as mine also was) still had that certain old-world charm and dignity and classiness that gradually disappeared with the decades. They were from that time when morals and values were enforced, not all this "anything goes" type stuff that happens nowadays. I'm glad she lived for a long time after he passed away and carried on the legacy.

950 views and 1 comment from a 48 minute interview with the person who knew Mr Rogers best. They’ll get here eventually I’m sure.
Thank you very much for this, and I was also very sad to learn that Mrs Rogers had passed away.

Wow amazing and genuine. Where are people like that now? I love her answer about what advice she'd give the youth of today. 39:40

I think it's because people now didn't grow up watching Fred Rodgers.

I think a lot of folks would have been influenced by a Mister and Mrs Rodgers family reality-based show. Would have been beneficial to many, even me. It would have been quite interesting to see him and his family, I think. Of course, that might have been a little strange, too. Lol

Because they saw their dad BOTH in real life and on TV.
