You just don't see this type of story telling in games anymore. I sometimes just like coming back to the journal readings, feel like I'm teleporting to 10 year old me.
@@macjimjava Nordic Warriors is Myth but made by an Indie studio. It's pretty good and just as crushingly difficult. They don't even try to hide the fact that they wanted to make Myth, they just own it in every aspect. As for rebooting the series, real-time strategy is extremely niche and real-time tactics is almost impossible to push to a wider audience. Publishers deal in volume, they don't care about having a small and loyal community
@@AParticularlyConcernedCitizen Hey Friend, thanks for telling me about this. I'm going to Steam and buying this game after work! Can you recommend anymore RTS that is a "must" play at least one time. Although I think I will be wrapped up in Nordic Warriors.

I agree, extraordinary indeed. I've always thought he had the best narration of all-time (for a video game). The sound of his voice carried with it a sense of suffering, dire urgency, and near utter hopelessness as you journeyed your way through the campaign. I'll never forget this game. It was 'the' game that turned me into a PC and online gamer. I was 15 at the time, now 29.. my has time flown by...
This game is absolutely incredible. There has yet to be a game that has as much soul as TFL and Soulblighter . Bungie has got to get the rights back to this game and do something with it.
perhaps the best narration/music combination I have ever heard in a game. Such a somber soundtrack, but that's what happens when your world is on the precipice of despair against the armies of the Fallen Lords.
Thank you for the upload. Ever since first playing this, when it was released no less, in that golden age of PC gaming that saw Fallout and the Wing Commanders, I've remembered those closing words to the Siege of Madrigal entry, in that tired, resolute voice. "Every Thrall that remains in camp to deal with us, is one less that our main force must hack to pieces at Madrigal."
Combining the pictures from the files of the game with the journal was an excellent idea. They probably did not have time to combine them because the Journal had to be readable and the pictures were so small that they probably did not look good.
While the storyline is somewhat generic fantasy, It's the quality of the narrating and the music that goes with it, that elevates this into the 'something special' league.
Someone should release another part of Myth. I remember how I was 13 YO, and woke ap at 6pm to play this game few minutes before going to school, hehehe.
Can anyone explain how 'Crows Bridge' can be Wednesday August 3rd and 'A Traitors Grave' be Tuesday August 5th? That makes no sense. Is it a mistake or is there a reason for it?

The narrator should definitely get an award for this. The way he tells this story is heartbreaking.
Yes, true😊
This voice acting is *Legendary.* 👍
Today is Wednesday, August 3rd - and my brain thought and heard Myth immediately.
Much love to this game. Miss it dearly.
Fuck I missed it! Still going to give it a replay today anyway.
20 YEARS.!!
I can proudly say that this game forged me into a MAN.!
We have to start some sort of petition for BUNGIE to re-claim its baby. This epic masterpiece of an experience.
Not likely since the last rights holder was Take-Two.
@@AParticularlyConcernedCitizen they should try to do something or sell it off to someone who will. This is a great game.

WOW, thanks, I was just thinkinig about this and how the Narration would make a good book-on-tape thing. I was not looking forward to doing it myself
I agree completely. Myth is the game that put them on the map as far as I'm concerned, but sadly they sold the rights to Myth years ago.
I wonder who owns those rights now, and if they might be persuaded to sell them back.

Thanks for uploading. Love this game ~

EPIC.
@Klockwork13 Just wondering if you can do the journal narrations for Myth 2: Soulblighter?
Huh never noticed that before, looks like they made did a mistake on that.
