Highly recommend! It's a lot about cooking but there's also a huge goal they're trying to achieve since episode 1 that makes it get pretty dark sometimes. And the characters and world building are so well done that it makes what could have been a frivolous cooking anime actually feel lived in 😊

And also I'm not really into anime series. I'm super picky when it comes to choosing an anime series. But one day I decided to watch it out of curiosity and lack of show at that time. And my god, I had an absolute blast. It was so different than the usual generic fantasy show. The characters are all so charming, fun, funny, and weird. The way they're so used to death is already a very interesting idea to me. Laios being the MC but not even the most powerful and the way he talk is also really unique. And it's absolutely funny, just like in this clip. And the world, especially the castle itself is really cool. A castle buried under the ground and now each layer and room has its unique ecosystem? That's fcking amazing. Something that I'd love to explore in a game
