What good are we if don't protect the next generation?" His older party members looked after him and ensured he survived, he's going to do the same.
What’s interesting is that Senshi is probably younger than Chilchuck. He said he’s been in the dungeon for 10 years and when he first entered it he looked to be around 13-16 years old mentally. That would put him in his mid to late 20s whereas Chilchuck is in his 30s.
But i do think the mental indeed tracks. Marcille is old but she still behaves like teenager. She and Senshi couldnt fathom having adult children in mid 20s.

My helmet off to Gillin, the last dwarf. Imagine being the last sane adult to be left alive, and grievously wounded. Yet he braved out both the incredible agony of the mortal blow he had been struck, the fear of the knowledge of his fast impending death - all for the sake of young Senshi, for whom he pulled himself through all that pain and terror to cook one last hastily prepared meal so that the poor kid won't starve to death.
A bit of spoiler, i never watched this episode but I've read the manga, one more proof that the griffin the dwarves fought was actually a hippogryph is that it never attacks the horse that the dwarves had, infact it might have been attracted which is why it bugged the dwarves in the first place. In this world griffins are carnivorous like lions and hippogryphs are herbivores like horses.
That my first time knowing there's are different griffin like hippogriff. What even better that they show us the taste of lions meat. It also means that with they Senshi and other dwarf hunt hippogriff they show us how the taste of horse meat. Wonderful
I think it's adorable and sweet that the Orcs of the dungeon took in Senshi and practically raised him like one of their own. Lord knows he likely wouldn't have lasted very long on his lonesome in the dungeon.
