I have been following this 80% rule for years. First, I take a minimum of dinner; second, fasting for a minimum of 12 hours daily. Fasting may look a bit difficult/odd, but the easiest way is to put GIT on complete rest after dinner, i.e. if dinner is taken at 9.00 pm, then nothing to eat before 9.00 am the next morning except lukewarm water -- this routine is very easy to follow all through life. Finally, never drink water with meals and after meals for a minimum of an hour.
Yes. I will remember and do it starting from today. Thanks for rishika and ankith briging this video to us 🙏🏻
Yes
Definitely , Thanks for the information , will follow
Thank u for the valuable information
Very good information, we will follow this 🙏🙏🙏
This is an extract from Ikigai. Good video!!
Thanks team 😊
👌👌
Thank you for information... 🙏🙏
Thanks for the valuable information we will try
Loved the fact that you mentioned a plant based diet ! 👍🏼👍🏼😊
Another principle that the blue zones and the people from Okinawa followed was a a predominantly plant based diet which was whole and not processed . Eliminating all animal products and processed foods from our diets will go a long way to ensure health and longevity.
👍
THANK YOU
Sure I will
I thought everyone was eating less than 80% like me. But because of this video I came to know that all Indians are eating 100% of their stomach.
This 80% principle is also in our sanatan Dharma. Instead of saying 80% we say ' सावकाश ' भोजन करिये l सावकाश means स - अवकाश that means space. It is better to keep some space empty in our stomach while eating. It helps for better digestion of the food that we consume.
Unfortunately we don't follow this rule.
Yes, I will Start from today with 70% ( 10% cushion) Thank you very much
Remember! No habits, everything should be a conscious process. (:
👏👏👏👏
🙏
But how to know my stomach is 80% full?
Have heard this Sanskrit saying
जठरं पूरयेदर्धं तदर्धं तु जलेन च |
वायोः सञ्चरणार्धं तु भागमेकं विसर्जयेत् ॥
One should fill one half of the stomach volume with solid food. Then one quarter with water. The remaining quarter should be empty, with just air, so that proper churning happens.
If the entire volume of stomach is filled solid food, then churning is likely to be improper, incomplete.
My nana means greatgrandpa lives about 120 years he is still alive
Now you think I am joking but I am not joking it's real
ALHAMDULILLAH our Prophet HAZRAT MOHAMMAD S.A.W.W told us this principle 1400 years ago... ❤🇵🇰😊
‘A human being fills no worse vessel than his stomach. It is sufficient for a human being to eat a few mouthfuls to keep his spine straight. But if he must (fill it), then one third of food, one third for drink and one third for air.’ - Prophet Muhammad
