I am very grateful for this video. And yes, the goofy one goes in the 6'o'clock position. Also I had trouble knowing if the valve assembly body was upside down. One of the big fluid connections has an extra nut screwed in between the body and the line. It should go on the starboard side. I call it the passenger side. The rear-most lines should be lower than the middle lines. There's 6 hard lines.

Hello, I am working on a similar steering leak out the top of the column. Mine is a Ferguson 35 but exactly the same set up. My question is the part of the steering shaft that the upper seal in the outer tube sits against. Mine is somewhat pitted, how can I best smooth and make the shaft so it seals well with the upper tube seal? Is there a sleeve that will work, and how can I find one?

This was a big help, but as Ty asked - clock orientation of the valve(s)? did it work ok using 6 o'clock instead of 9 o'clock? And the vid doesn't show the orientation of the washers & ball bearings above and below the valve body. Any input on those? My printout of the system disassembled isn't very clear. Thanks (mine is a mod. 621 and has a paper gskt between valve body adapter (that also leaked) and steering box, but is otherwise identical)

No , that’s the power of editing, I switched it off camera when I figured it out.

      @@hillbillyrepairman5205 So you're saying 6 oclock didn't work? 9 0clock is the right position?

does this tractor use oil from the hydraulic reservoir for power steering? or the transmission?

No, it only uses the power steering fluid from the reservoir on top of the power steering pump

Why does the Service manual pic show the special valve ( with the 2 sleeves and 2 steel balls ) hole is at about 9 oclock you highlighted it with the red arrow, but in your video it looks clearly like you installed it at the buttom hole...6 oclock?....
And add to that the Service manual has no clarity, because it just says "Install....in the same location from which they were removed" ....!!!....
I hate with a passion conflicting opinions.
Any insight on this would be appreciated.
I can guess, but that's just stupid!
