    *WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE NETHERLANDS ENTRY FOR EUROVISION 2021?* 🇳🇱

    The more I hear this song, the more I'm really liking it. Especially because I am massively into language acquisition and cultures, currently learning my 7th language and its just so different in a refreshing way to see things that are outside of what I was raised with in England. Good job Netherlands :)

    I can honestly say this is one of the best Eurovision songs ever! I fell in love with it the first time I heard it! The voice, the lyrics, the dancing are all just perfect. Well done Netherlands!

    I love this. Best entry in eurovision in almost ever for me. Even though i’m a proud swede over many of our entries - this is my jam. It’s so soulful with an amazing soul singer. Don’t care of it wins or not, as this is better than what eurovision has produced almost ever for me. This is just my opinion and what i love 💙💛

    This song is very uplifting and is needed this year. We were missing some culture this year. This is amazing.
    I also agree with Alesia about Israel needing to bring some Ethiopian to her song.

    I’m in the ‘infinitely better than last years song’ camp. I just didnt get Grow last year, whereas I totally get his song for this year 👏👏👏🇳🇱

    The UK, Ireland and Australia are exactly the countries I'd expect to give a decent amount of points to The Netherlands this year, so I am not surprised the Irish, Australian and UK people like Jeangu's song. The UK, Ireland and Australia like originality (just a guess, correct me if I am wrong). There are 36 songs revealed (37 if Belarus counts) so far and The Netherlands is according to my taste 17th. Birth Of A New Age is definitely not a winner, but also not a bottom 5 entry.

    Like Miceal, Grow was my favourite last year. I love this too, even though I'm not sure if it will again be favourite. It's so powerful, uplifting and authentic. I'm very proud of my country's entry!

    Not a “typical” Eurovision song but it stands out in the celebration of diversity ...and that’s where it’s all about, to enjoy the full range of creativity.

      @Graciekate910 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@leorowell I’m not good with Eurovisiony songs unfortunately!! 🙈 But this could blow us away. It could be euphoric with the right choral sounding backing! 🤞🏽

    • @speerboom
      @speerboom 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I really like the Afro-Surinamese elements (drums usually make me go ‘whut??? Nice!’ and they certainly did that here). I’m a sucker for happy tropical shite and this ticks that box. Not Eurovisiony you say? Indeed. Do I care? Nope. Do I really care if it ends up last? I’d be disappointed but what really matters to me is whether I like it or not. I like it very much 👏👏👏

    I m form the netherlands im curious what the gonna do with the staging, the song is catchy but i think most people will not understant the message right away. So i think its a good song but we are going to be in the bottom

    • @schagerbaantje
      @schagerbaantje 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not that worries about the message not being understood as with the live presentation they translated the chorus to english and I think we will see that in some vorm the Eurovision performance as well. When you know that part the message is quite clear in my eyes.

    Actually I wanted Grow v2. If he'd put more sentences in Sranan Tongo, I'd be OK. Very repetitive, it weakens the song unfortunately. Think this won't escape from the curse of host countries and will be in bottom 5.

    Maybe we should adjust the ESC a bit. So that in qualifying a country is allowed to do a different song from the final. Just with the same instruments, singers ect.
