I just ordered a candle from Scents of Wood. I got Oak and Oak. The glass candle holder, the quality of the wax, and the generous amount of oil beads at on the top of the wax. Perfect. Far better than Diptyque. What I don't like is the smell. Reminds me of an old stinky shoe brought in from the rain. I'm disappointed.

I wish reviewers would have revealed that Praline In Maple is an almost exact copy of By The Fireplace by Maison Margiela….except with some maple. If someone has neither and like this type of scent I would suggest By The Fireplace. You get 25ml more and for almost $100 less.
Did you end up buying Praline in Maple?
@@My2Scents I did. Just received it today. It is good, but it is almost exactly like By The Fireplace and I sold that one. I will probably keep PIM.
@@iamlove5325 well I have to agree with you & honestly didn’t put two & two together till just now, though Praline in Maple is sweeter in the opening with more spice to my nose & less smoke. The further in it becomes very close to By the Fireplace. Thank you for sharing!
@@My2Scents I have to say that, after 7 1/2 hours on skin, I have this beautiful Maple skin scent that BTF doesn’t have.
@@My2Scents If you haven’t tried Oud In Bourbon, it is really good. It smells like an “Exclusif” version of Black Phantom by Kilian Paris. Also, Bread In Chestnut is incredible! They just dropped it. Got over the top compliments for it. So good!
So , I just got my first box today from Scents of Wood. I really like the Praline and Maple, its a banger. Definitely has a boozy feel....I think they age their fragrances in cases like whisky. Im still on the fence about Ebony in Oak. Its definitely got a little of that medicinal oud, buy i like that so I'll have to give it a full say wearing when it's really cold. The Neroli one reminds me of Bvlgari Neroli Wood which I own along with TF Neroli Portifino and the Banana Republic Neroli one. So, thats a taw redundant, but I'll rock it next summer as a travel atomizer of those three. Overall, beautiful presentation and the map/tree tells you what to expect the rest of the year.

Haha I hate auto correct. I haven't worn Ebony yet but plan to this week. I am really enjoying Praline (Favorite this far) & Neroli. I love the slightly spicy woodiness with Neroli. All in all I love this subscription!

What’s ebony or what’s the note of ebony
Ebony is a super dense, hardwood, dark in color.
Ebony is a very dense, extremely dark wood that has a rich, resinous woodiness.
I like Sandalwood in Oak. I bought it off eBay. Not really into candles or burning stuff.
I subscribed less than a week ago. I’m anxiously awaiting for my first delivery. They seem like very unique fragrances.
It's definitely worth it for sure. I actually got my first collectors box for 44. That was such a deal and I think it might still be on but not sure. Does anyone know what to do with ebony in oak on the skin? I get a bluish tint when I spray it. I love the scent tho. Thank you for your great review.

I started with Scentbird and got two fragrances and loved them both so I enrolled and just got my first box. Although I am not a big candle/ incense user it will be interesting to see how the smells are in the different mediums. I am glad you are doing the journey so I can follow along with you as I get each fragrance.
You can always gift / sell the candles. I’m sure I won’t like every scents but I subbed to the best sellers. My first box came with neroli, oak in bourbon and something else. I like 2 of the ones I’ve smelled.
Oh it’s maple n oak I think. I love them all so far.
