In this video I give you some tips on how you can fake a "Golden Hour" or sunset look in a photo that wasn't taken at sunset at all! I also talk about the specific tricks I used to edit this photo.

It's so funny so many of these points are the opposite of what Peter just talked about doing. Clarity, skin softening, etc. I somehow agree with both of you! All in moderation and subtlety.
Seth Payseur we’ll definitely don’t over soften! But for women a little softening can help. Adding too much clarity to their skin won’t be flattering either. Best thing to do would be to bring it into photoshop for more detail work but like I said - quick and dirty! And exactly, all in moderation.
In my view if you editing girl in pictures its always nice to soften slightly skin. But as well it depends what kinda picture is. But I agree with you they both brought good points.

just a bit of an effort by the photographer to use a reflector to elevate some shadows would've been a much better image ;)

Why shoot so underexposed? I can't understand this trend of shooting this way and cranking up the shadows. It introduces noise. Why not just use a flash? No offense just trying to understand. I have been shooting professionally for more than 15 years.
