There are great saints like Rumi, Ibn Arabi, Shams Tabrez, Bestami who have never in their lives considered to be some sort of sufi or anything like such but only their followers use such statements. They only considered themselves to be the Lover of God
@@spiritualreliefchannel I do expect arguments from people but i only indulge in discussions where sometimes I get corrected or people want to get corrected. I leave such individuals who only want to indulge in ignorance. And you're most welcome 🤗
@@saalik7this world is made for all minds brother , you and another can have different opinions on this matter and yet still shake each others hands in heaven .
a sufi who calls himself a sufi is not a sufi. this is a common saying regarding sufis. they are the manifestation of a purified soul and nafs, a purified soul is humble. you will never see someone humble going around saying i am this, i am that. if you know about sufism or what it is like to be a sufi you will know that a sufi is a lover of God. everyone can be a sufi, 'sufi' is not any position or status or any specific sect, it is just a term indicating to a state, anyone can achieve that state in their life. it doesn't matter if you call him a sufi or not, that state exists. like you are given a name at your birth, you will continue existing without any name appointed to you. getting sucked into terminology without the essence eliminates the meaning of the actual thing. the essence exists irrespective to the term. i would suggest you to watch a video lecture 'Orthodox Islam and Sufism' by Dr. Abdul Hakim Murad, if you want to understand what it is like to be a sufi. Watch onward from 21st minute.
@@spiritualreliefchannel No no I meant was he a Sufi master, I thought he was into sufisme for a little while, but wasn't considered to be Sufi though he was influenced by them...

@spiritualreliefchannel I am similar to you but my divine principles come from the Quran... I do not yet know myself to an extent that I can derive divine principles within, the quran doesn't trap you but gives you principles to apply in your own way... one reason why it's timeless
