I loved your opening words. “We, partly because I’m fat and I could be more than one person” 😂…Ireland’s a place I’d like to go as well. I don’t get the Pantera sound either, and I do enjoy metal sometimes. Interesting jazz tie in with the Donald Fagen record. Fun C&W album. I never see David Allen Coe records for sale. It’s fun party music. Raven! I have a CD copy of Mob Rules. I am a fan of Dio’s vocals. Kick Axe! “One of the dumbest names of any of the artists I’ve ever loved” 🤠 I love Rolling Stones too. Awesome video John! ✌️
I just subbed your channel after Jeff at Speakers Corner gave you a shout out..look forward to seeing your content…I am huge bluegrass fan and that is a great album..happy you picked hockey, but…GO LEAFS...👍❤glen
Thanks Glen, I appreciate you checking it out, and for the sub. I love hockey, we need more hockey music. Would be a good video! I hope my bluegrass love doesn't chase too many people away.
Hey John... that was hilarious and thanks for the shoutout! Sometimes I feel like i live in the North pole, no doubt! I try to pride myself on knowing Canadian music, but I've never heard of Kick Axe (and yes, that's a terrible name)... I'll need to ch3ck it out. Cheers and good luck in the contest. Darryl
@@northernvinylguy Ha! Thanks. Kick Axe is also on the soundtrack for the Transformers Movie, but for contractual reasons they were called Spectre General, a far better name. I really do dig your channel. It was my pleasure to shout it.
SCORES! La-la-la-la-la LaFontaine! RJ's classic call was a beauty - even for non-Sabres' fans. Hi John. As a Canadian, your references and appreciation of hockey shone like a beacon (and you're a Stones' guy!). Enjoying your videos and this response for Mike and Patty is good fun. Very cool to see the Mob Rules tour. You have a great, out-going demeanor and great taste in music. I look to shout you out in my response. Keep up the great work. Cheers, Jeff
Awesome! Thanks. I appreciate the kind words. You may see my son show up in videos from time to time, he was born 10 hours after the Lightning won the Stanley Cup in 2004. Was a great day indeed! Thanks again for checking it out and commenting.
Also, I watched your vinyl tag 25. Some Jerry Garcia discussion... In this video, the first record I show is the Chieftains, and there's an edit. I cut out a discussion where I talk about the Chieftains being invited by Jerry to open the show at the Boarding House for his bluegrass band Old & In The Way, and bringing them with him to a radio interview on KSAN, which was really their first American break. Bear Owsley recorded the classic Old & In The Way record at those shows, and recently released were his tapes of the Chieftains from the same night! It sounds fantastic. There's also a Doc Watson recording, which I ordered. I discovered the Dead by backing into them from bluegrass, pretty weird, but however you get there, right?
Hey John! I got dragged to too many Fogelberg concerts back in the day by an old girlfriend. Cool Sabbath memory, and also my fav band. Jeff from Speeker's Corner sent me your way, gave you a sub. Hope you make it to the Motherland someday! Cheers!
Thanks for the sub, and for checking it out. I would love to have seen Dan MF Fogelberg at least once, I'm a nostalgia nut for the 70's. There will be lots of Sabbath on my channel! They are a food group in my house!!!

Splendid entry 😊 Hockey too. Brave honesty on the dislikes.
Best of luck in the contest. Cheers from Morten
@@MortenAastad thanks for checking it out and the sub!
@ Happy to do so. I won last years, when he aimed for a few zeroes fewer 😄
