      Y'know what would be cool? A 'returning to DVResolve' quick video guide for peeps that have previously watched all your tutorials years ago but never used the app until now. Just a quick refresher on important settings to check, how best to use the timeline efficiently, the most important keyboard shortcuts, and good render settings for youtube.

    Dude... As someone who is just testing the waters, I'm glad I found this video this soon. I watched a few videos and they were either a bit advanced or straight up boring. Thank you so much man. If I end up keeping up on this journey I'll be sure to comeback for the Fusion part. Cheers!

      Ive filmed an awesome video on my Hero 12 black on GPLog and idk if Resolve can rescue it, but I tried on Premiere, and I could not recover much color, it looked so hazy, and the water was actually clear. So I called GoPro customer service to see if they could make my video look better and they said NO...so Ive learned never to use GPLoG ever again. It sucks. Im hoping someone proves me wrong on Resolve though

    19 - they moved the "Favorites" (edit page) from all being in the "Favorites" section (I could see all of my favorites & choose from the libraries of effects) to now I the favorites are shown where the libraries used to be. I have to constantly switch between seeing the full library and seeing my favorites ... I cannot see them both at the same time anymore. Can I fix this or am I stuck with it?

    This is great, a little advice please. I just got a Canon R5 MkII and am going to Africa. I want to shoot basic video with no log files. What format do you suggest i shoot in. 4K-D fine@29.97fps LGOP (whatever that is) Thank you . I have already learned a lot from you. I am an experienced stills photographer. I did some Final Cut Pro very basic video editing a Loong time ago.

    Hi. This is no doubt a very useful guide but it doesn´t feel like beginners. Perhaps someone who already has a projected started up can go forwards. I am a total beginner so it misses me. I will come back to it when I know a litte more. Thanks. At least I discovered your vid

    Great into. Is Resolve good at upscaling video? Say I have a 1080p and want to go to 2k. Or dare I say 4K. Does it do it and keep the vid sharp?? If no do you have a recommendation??

    • @CaseyFaris
      @CaseyFaris  หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is an upscaler in the paid version that's pretty good. Although there are some third party tools that can do it better. I don't have any particular recommendation but you could do an online search.

    why am i unable to view my media files? It says media offline on the main screen. Is it because the file isnt supported?

    • @CaseyFaris
      @CaseyFaris  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You'll need to relink the media. Go here for a support article on how to do that: www.groundcontrol.film/support

  • @FaceAdrenalin-fm8vr

    Ive come to the conclusion that NO TUTORIAL ADVISOR knows "where" auto save files, project files and backups are kept...why because in no "Beginners Guide" does anyone know the basic file structure... in Premier its simple, absolute walk in the park... In Davinci a NIGHTMARE... nowhere to go for auto saved files and just click open!!!

    • @CaseyFaris
      @CaseyFaris  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Everything is listed in project settings. The cache directories etc.
      The project files are saved to the database, which you can get to by right clicking on your library name in your project manager.
      Also a quick Google for any of these qs will give you the default directories on Mac or windows. :)
