Or say something to someone and they could have got him on a so many day hold in a facility to make sure he got his problems out and diagnosed if there was a disorder. Down here in Florida there's a thing called the Baker's Act where if you even threaten to kill yourself or someone else your kept for 72 hours in a psych facility and after 72 hours if you need more help they find it for you.

An online acquaintance of mine is going through that as we speak with false rape allegations just because he won't leave his fiancé and take back this psychotic ex-girlfriend he hasn't even seen in 5 years who mentally abused him when they were together. I hate when women use rape falsely because it makes it so much harder for actual victims to come forward and then the prosecution to get a conviction unless it was on tape with audio and both parties can clearly be identified with there being a stack of physical evidence against the defendant it's hard to get a conviction on what should be an open & shut case. Again men can be raped (physical response to stimulation does not signify consent), spouses can be raped and whether you want to agree with me or not- sex workers can also be raped; but the police would never take the complaint from a sex worker they would lock them up for prostitution instead and possibly give the "john" a citation, but hopefully lock his ass up. There needs to be an overhaul in the laws so EVERYONE is protected and no one should be afraid of prosecution for reporting a sexual predator. People have limits and once they are crossed consent is no longer there and that in all definitions is rape. Whether money was exchanged or not it doesn't matter once someone says no, stop, don't or anything like that it's rape. That young woman didn't deserve to die and now her mother is in the hospital fighting for her life and the father couldn't be A MAN and turn himself in no he took the COWARD'S way out and killed himself. I'll be damned if I was going to hang around and be a punching bag and make my children watch that. Was it easy breezy being by myself with 2 kids? Hell no. But better than being abused. Possible reasons: He was sexually interested in his daughter and didn't want any other "man" to have her. His daughter was beginning to make decisions on her own and he was a controlling narcissist. He had physically abused his wife and daughter in the past and gotten away with it and this was just "more of the same. He felt that both the wife and daughter were his "property" to do with as he pleased - even killing them. Not that hard to find multiple reasons.
I hope they looked into possible sexual abuse per above comment. Does happen more than you think. These man who have control over daughters they sexually abused get really edgy that the girl may confide, especially to a new BF. They are worrying about going to prison and losing control. This happens all the time. Neighbors thinking the family next to them are loving and caring, when the truth is, abuse is happening behind closed doors. There were signs, but people refuse to get involved and this is always the outcome. The victims of domestic abuse carrying the guilt and shame and the courts and abuse advocates do very little to protect them.
We really don't know if this was a case of routine domestic violence or an isolated issue of violence related to a mental breakdown. The words, "I can't take this anymore!" lend themselves to the second explanation. I'm sure that there's an investigation in progress.

I’m so tired of hearing “how could this happen?” and “this s a safe town”. Everyone is capable and where there are people, there will be the high chance of violence - especially since there are ALWAYS signs. No one randomly beats their daughter to death and attempts to murder their wife as well. It was brewing and the signs were ignored or rationalized as something else. It’s tragic and heartbreaking when they are, so let’s start changing our violent culture (to which domestic violence happens towards women at high rates to this day) to being one of being honest with each other. I don’t believe Gregory was evil,, he may have suffered a mental illness. It’s comments and thought processes like this that people don’t seek the treatment they need. We never know what someone is going through, so Grace should be the first thing we extend. I’m heartbroken that Gregory suffered and didn’t seek help, yet thought the only way out was murder-suicide. I'm not saying that males don't get abused everyday by their family members, teachers, bosses, other kids, can even happen in the military. It can happen from partners, spouses or significant others. Men are victims too and they are so stigmatized they feel less than so they under report ie their abuse goes unknown about. Abuse isn't just physical; it's mental, emotional and sexual too and in the age of social media and hiding behind screen names it's very easy to make up lies for the world to see that can ruin someone's life ( put their reputation so far in the hole if you own a business it can suffer from lack of patronage or if you're a content creator on TH-cam your channel you make money off of can be demonetized or completely taken down) to the point it can effect their health from the sheer stress of it all. An online acquaintance of mine is going through that as we speak with false rape allegations just because he won't leave his fiancé and take back this psychotic ex-girlfriend he hasn't even seen in 5 years who mentally abused him when they were together.
I hate when women use rape falsely because it makes it so much harder for actual victims to come forward and then the prosecution to get a conviction unless it was on tape with audio and both parties can clearly be identified with there being a stack of physical evidence against the defendant it's hard to get a conviction on what should be an open & shut case. Again men can be raped (physical response to stimulation does not signify consent), spouses can be raped and whether you want to agree with me or not- sex workers can also be raped; but the police would never take the complaint from a sex worker they would lock them up for prostitution instead and possibly give the "john" a citation, but hopefully lock his ass up. There needs to be an overhaul in the laws so EVERYONE is protected and no one should be afraid of prosecution for reporting a sexual predator. People have limits and once they are crossed consent is no longer there and that in all definitions is rape. Whether money was exchanged or not it doesn't matter once someone says no, stop, don't or anything like that it's rape.

Possible reasons: He was sexually interested in his daughter and didn't want any other "man" to have her. His daughter was beginning to make decisions on her own and he was a controlling narcissist. He felt that both the wife and daughter were his "property" to do with as he pleased - even killing them. Not that hard to find multiple reasons.
Based on the wife's testimony it seems he had a mental breakdown, probably financial struggles. Doesn't excuse anything of course

These man who have control over daughters they sexually abused get really edgy that the girl may confide, especially to a new BF. They are worrying about going to prison and losing control. This happens all the time. Neighbors thinking the family next to them are loving and caring, when the truth is, abuse is happening behind closed doors. There were signs, but people refuse to get involved and this is always the outcome.
The victims of domestic abuse carrying the guilt and shame and the courts and abuse advocates do very little to protect them.
We really don't know if this was a case of routine domestic violence or an isolated issue of violence related to a mental breakdown. The words, "I can't take this anymore!" lend themselves to the second explanation. I'm sure that there's an investigation in progress.

I’m so tired of hearing “how could this happen?” and “this s a safe town”. Everyone is capable and where there are people, there will be the high chance of violence - especially since there are ALWAYS signs. No one randomly beats their daughter to death and attempts to murder their wife as well. It was brewing and the signs were ignored or rationalized as something else. It’s tragic and heartbreaking when they are, so let’s start changing our violent culture (to which domestic violence happens towards women at high rates to this day) to being one of being honest with each other. We can stop this before it happens if we are.

We never know what someone is going through, so Grace should be the first thing we extend. I’m heartbroken that Gregory suffered and didn’t seek help, yet thought the only way out was murder-suicide. My prayers go out to the Kelemen family and their friends.
