Looking at a '66 4 door with a 6 right now, dark blue but was beige from the factory. Beige interior, still original. It looks like it was a police car at some point in its history as it as some patched holes in the roof where a light would do and some extra wiring. Runs like a dream and drives so smooth. Very original. Has a bit of use-wear, presumably while on the force, but it really adds to the character of the car so i'm gonna leave it. Maybe put some legal lights on top to plug the holes properly, too.
I would like to see a bit of a hotrod build in the future, I don't tend to leave things factory-spec for very long. But I see this one being gradual instead of all-at-once, let the car tell me what it wants next.

Yeah too nice to part out. Myself I also have a 67 Fairlane 500 Club Coupe 2-door with the 200 in it. Has bad blow-by so I'm eventually going to have to rebuild the engine at some point

You sure don't see many of these anymore. It's sad really.

So I have a question I have a 1966 Ford Mustang coupe with this same engine in it and it would crank turnover but wouldn’t start I noticed the s pig tail to the starter solenoid was cracked and loose couldn’t find a new pigtail so I wrapped electrical tape around it and squeezed it on tight and she started but then my car wouldn’t shut off even with the keys out so I removed the pigtails to the solenoid. She finally shut off. But the alternator, fan and bent were still slowly moving a minute afterwards which is weird. They finally stopped but now she won’t crank turnover or anything no interior lights on my car or anything. I don’t know where to start for what the issue could possibly be.

    That’s a 200-I6 engine isn’t it?

The older Fords can really use an electric fuel pump when starting cold. Helps fill the long fuel lines and prime the carburetor. See: th-cam.com/video/PCAD0KK9nqY/w-d-xo.html A fantastic presentation.
