I said this about the video Fleur did explaining her maternity leave, and I shall say it again now.....who gave this video a thumbs down? It was just a beautiful moment of a mother introducing her new baby. How could anyone dislike that? I don't understand people sometimes. Congratulations Fleur and Mike, she is a gorgeous baby. And Fleur, you actually look your most beautiful in the video. You definitely have a new mother glow. I understand you not wanting to feature River on your channel, but I do hope she will pop up from time to time so we can see how she's doing.
I applaud you for taking your time, and introducing her to us in such a tasteful and cautious way. Such a good mommy! Whether or not others like her name is irrelevant, and I hope those that don't keep their thoughts to themselves. You named her with love, and she will grow to embody her name beautifully. Congratulations! Love the name, just beautiful. I didn't get the "overwhelming love" with my son at first either, when he was born I was so exhausted I was just like "okay, that's great, can I sleep now?" haha. But he's almost two now and is my absolute world, definitely a love like no other.

Here in Austria we also have an awesome support! We can choose from 12 month to 2,5 years of paid maternity leave! Sad to hear about the us situation!
Most jobs in the UK offer a reasonable time for maternity leave. It's required by law that everyone take at least 2 weeks paid maternity leave, anything beyond that is at the companies discretion. 6 months is the most common with some offering 9 months - a year at a reduced pay rate. Some larger companies will pay full but it's rare.

People got angry about it?! Some people need to stop thinking that TH-camrs are obligated to share every single piece of information about their public and private life, with the entire world.
I don't understand who and why would be hating on a baby's name or demanding a video about it...I don't have and am not planning to have kids, but I totally understand that having another life to take care of would pretty much take over your life in the beginning and making a TH-cam video would be the last thing on your mind. Fleur's job is youtube, and while she has absolutely no obligation to introduce her daughter at all, it's really lovely for her subscribers to get this chance to meet her, even if this is all we ever see of her. Every parent has different comfort levels when it comes to their child's exposure on the internet. The tone of your comment (the judgement evident in it) is uncalled for. No one cares what you have done with your kids. This is about Fleur and her comfort. Fleur's daughter isn't yours, so worry about your own kids and she will worry about hers.

Our baby is four days younger and both river and wren were in our top 5, we settled on Lark because she was born at 4am but we will definitely be using one of those if we're lucky enough to have another, huge congratulations and thank you for your unbeknownst support is well timed journey and shared experience. We have an absolute angel baby that only squeaks for milk and we spent the first night ever up with her crying through the night, a very bizarre experience. We got nothing we planned, induction, epidural, c-section, huge weight loss, week on neonatal, tongue tie, formula top ups, none of it matters I swear, we can't wait to hear your story if and when you feel happy to share it but don't feel intimidated by other people's opinions if something didn't go to plan, none of it matters except how gorgeous your daughter is, how loved and wanted she is. You've helped us through a horrible situation more than you will ever know, your content ensured that we refocused on our silver lining rainbow bundle every time our thoughts strayed to the hell we were in this last year, you really are kind people to share your life, you will probably never know the far reaching effects of that support. Enjoy your girl, she's actually stunning.

I agree with everything you said I had an emergency c-section so I had no time to prepare and it takes a while for you to get over it so for you to be doing videos after a month 🙌🏻🙌🏻 people that don’t have children should realise having a newborn is not a cakewalk it is a full time job

What a lovely visit with you and River Wren (beautiful)! I so appreciate your frankness about when they gave you your baby immediately after delivery. So many women have the reaction you described: Overwhelmed by not feeling overwhelmed. We all know it does not mean we don't love our babies, but it's not addressed very often. The ups and downs are so familiar. Happy to see you and your darling girl, and to know how well you are doing regardless of the emotional "emotionalness" of it all!
