We used to camp there when it was free style. Lunch at the Breakers restaurant was excellent, burgers at the Jordan River Inn were great. Hardly anybody surfed there but now it is like Walmart on a slow day. Camping has changed over the last 20 years. What we have noticed now is that people are now living in the free Rec Campsites or partying all night. There always was party campsites but it seems to most of them now. Venture to Bear Creek reservoir, good fishing.
Sorry about Jordan River, it always is such a bummer when all you want to do is enjoy the area and you have people doing stuff like that. Nice spot you ended up in though. Happy holidays Joseph. Stay warm and cozy.
I am a child of the "60's" and I haven't heard anyone use the term 'groovy ' for a long time. Cool man! So now you know you have a old grandma watching your videos. I love your laid back attitude and you always have good content. Could hang out at many of the places you choose (except I am in OKLAHOMA) if I was there. I enjoy being alone with my dog and quieter low key places. Am excited for you on your visit to see your daughter. I was a campground manager in Alaska a couple summers back and people would do that all the time. They would pull into my most coveted campsites just to have lunch, and I would have to let them know that they either had to pay for the campsite or leave because other people who wanted to actually camp there for the night, could not do so because of them occupying the space. I don’t know if people are oblivious or truly uncaring, but there needs to be more courtesy in this world. Hope you have a happy Christmas and a wonderful new year.!

Yeah I didn't cover that too well... I was worn out after the day and was like, they'll get it. It was roasted carnival squash and garlic topped with the pan fried seeds, bits of blue cheese and a side of steamed dinosaur kale.
Might be a better choice to camp up the hill at Jordan River and walk down to the beach for some sun. They seemed friendly when I ebiked to Frew last summer. Looks like back to North Main. Lovely view across the Strait.

When I do go camping and get out of my routine comfort zone I now enjoy being alone , just me and Tyler my dog. A few people around is ok but just can’t stand being next to hoards of loud people.
Thank you for cleaning up. Save us from the bad actors that will cause us to lose access to forest and blm land. I too clean up everywhere I go! It's sad as sometimes I fill my van with other people's garbage!!

Tried to go there a few times and it is always packed with people seemingly doing the same thing. Unfortunate since it's such a beautiful spot. Most places explicitly say that you can't use campsites for day use but there are always people willing to chance it and in doing so ruin it for others.
Long time surfer in a East coast tourist town, that's an excellent surf spot, guarantee to be some 24/7 action in a spot like that. We have a similar campsite situation here. $30 a night to be surrounded by rabid surfers, gotta embrace the chaos,lol , ask a kind surfer to show you how, one of them will gladly show you, it's super fun and a great add to any life!!! We have a lot of bikers in our state ,there are gangs in nearby cities , some gnarly people come through our beach, we are taught to NEVER confront anyone, it's not smart, they'll be gone when the temp drops or the rain moves in.
I saw your smile for the first time during one of VancityValife moments. You are in a frog suit and all I could see was your big smile. I love that smile. It is honest, cheesy ( a bit) an just plain fun. Glad I found your channel. Eat the hot dogs fella, never let others stomp on your fun.

I need to scout out around there for places I can drive/fit Whitezilla and the truck camper for weekend getaways. Need to get my smarter half away from the office more and she likes the out of the way spots.

It seems that all you can do to stay safe and to avoid unpleasant confrontations is to either stay quiet, or leave.

If you want to join in the fun you could consider a blow up surf ski, or even a boogie board will get you out there. Hey, it's hours of FREE fun!
