You have extremely nice review but I couldn’t find what I’m looking for. Example, if I connect this to a projector, is it possible during casting, you can split the sound to output in a Bluetooth Home Theater instead of projector sound output? I have connectivity issue in my home. The home theater is in front and the projector at the back. Using 3.5mm jack wired will not give you Dolby Atmos Surround quality. My projector has only 3.5mm jack and AV options which both of them are not surround sound. My only hope this device can split the video and audito into its Bluetooth. Thanks for your answer, appreciated.
Yeah sadly, you can't split the audio from the video within the device. It sounds like you're going to need to go receiver route with what you have. I can't think of another way... There's no Bluetooth split at this time that will give you anything other than basic stereo audio. The Bluetooth option is also just available through connecting in headsets/bluetooth speakers directly into the device through the settings screen we showed here.
Love the new Google Chromecast with Google TV, but did you come across with issues casting with screen mirroring? Every now and then it would lag or disconnect with my S10+. So not sure if the issue is with the phone or the Chromecast itself
I haven't run into that issue personally, but I haven't done a lot of screen mirroring to check. Might be something for me to test another time. I usually just cast the service :)
Oh well what you can is up to you, but any APK you find (and TRUST) can be sideloaded to attempt. Not all of them work. For example, I didn't have luck with SmartThings, but did with others. How is that Downloader application and there's also the need to turn on the developer access, and then allow Downloader to install apps. Then it's pretty easy! So to start, check the description and you'll see 2 parts to Sideload apps in the time codes. Get those things set up, and then Downloader is something you might have to watch another video on. It's actually easy once you learn how but...it's not in this video cause it wasn't the point!
what will you choose on the “what brand is your tv?” if there’s no choices of the brand that i’m using??? our tv is ACE and there’s no ACE option on the “what brand is your tv?” and the volume and input is not working
heard you mentioning at the beginning that if you speak english you’d recommend setting it as english us as opposed to english canada for example. i live in canada and you mention the us english has a few more features, what might those features be?
With the Google Assistant, there's always way more that you get with setting the language setting to English US. It would take me a long time to explain all that, so instead I recommend you watch our smart home news regularly on our other channel! th-cam.com/play/PLFPS7-631cZFekoL7KS651cI11dwVA99l.html One example, different voices for the Google Assistant.
7:17 is there special setup for Send Files to TV? I enabled install 3rd party apps, dev mode and USB debugging, yet it can't be detected from my phone. I had no issues with it on firesticks, but no adb prompts or anything
Google does not allow shutting off of wifi location scan, even when using Ethernet adapter, (which I highly recommend) even though they give you the "choice" (lol) to do so. The device will not work with that toggled off. Otherwise... fantastic streamer (and more!) , and a very well explained and through instructional video. Thanks!
Get closer to the Chromecast itself when you're trying to pair, plus turn off other wifi and bluetooth signals and this may help you. Otherwise, you may need to chat with Google support.
@@TechYourLife1 Hi, thanks for replying but,the trouble was the remote needed to be reset as the light wasn't coming on so,had to take batteries out whilst holding down the home button and reinsert them worked a treat.Wish they put this information in there little instruction manual.Cheers.
Can anyone get anything other than stereo output on this thing? My setup is capable of handling the Dolby formats but my unit indicates I'm only receiving a stereo signal. If I watch a video from my play library on the chromecast I receive a stereo signal. If I cast that same video from my phone to the chromecast I get 5.1 surround, what's up with that?
(02:24) "If you're going to speak English, choose English (United States)." English (Canada) already exists, why not choose that region? • English (Canada) was previously available for the Nexus Player in 2014 at launch, but was later removed in the 6.0 update. Even though this language is supported as of Android 7.0 for Nexus/Pixel devices, it was not supported on TVs until 2020. (03:46) In the future, if Google added a Link with TV Provider feature for Google TV, that could make things very tricky. For example, when selecting English (Canada) or Français (Canada), Canadian TV providers will appear, like Bell, Rogers, Telus, etc. If selecting English (United States) or Español (Estados Unidos), American TV providers will be displayed, like TH-cam TV, Sling, AT&T TV, Spectrum, Cox, etc.
And you can change it anytime. My crave works fine, and it's just a language setting. It's not actually a region change, but it does often give you access to additional features.
Storage: th-cam.com/video/doksD3EwYdk/w-d-xo.html - Yep! Videos offline I haven't found a way to do just yet with either app. I'm wondering if you sideload the apps that maybe you have a shot at that. Haven't seen it yet for myself.
I would love if the google remote could use my harmony hub’s IR blasters or WiFi for receivers that support it Or for the harmony hub to be able to control the Google tv
No...and even if it did, it's unlikely your bandwidth would be good enough nor your connection stable enough to stream really well. Or at least, it wouldn't work all the time.
Just purchased one and it has a TON of WiFi connectivity and buffering issues that I did not have with my chromecast 3, please do some research online and you'll see that a lot of people are having the sames issues, I would've not purchased it had I known this, it feels like a downgrade honestly, and I can't believe no one in this reviews in youtube is talking about this. See this forum post on the google support community: support.google.com/chromecast/thread/74703151?hl=en

Hi
what will you choose on the “what brand is your tv?” if there’s no choices of the brand that i’m using???
our tv is ACE and there’s no ACE option on the “what brand is your tv?” and the volume and input is not working
Excellent review. Is there any way to add a channel guide to LegazyTV?
Sorry, I don't know what that one is!
Worked perfect thanks brian.
Great to hear!

If you want to change inputs or TV sources like go from the Chromecast input to a Blu-ray player input, how do you do that with the remote? Or can you
I just saw that you can adjust some buttons on the remote I'll check that out
You get 'er Lance?

Definitely adding this to my Christmas List 😁
My favorite streamer now!
What a great review. Very detailed.

Good stuff Stan!
I setup every thing but when I go Netflix and play movies no sound is coming please any suggestions how to bring sound back Thank you
I used to be able to adjust my chromecast ultra volume with Google assistant. How do I get that back?
It's a current bug, as I understand it :) Hold on tight.

Hi,thanks for tutorial, but, when it asks for the pairing I press and hold down both buttons but, nothing happens?? any suggestions?? Thanks
