“The Guy from Ohio”: Arlen Glick & the Western States 100 | Ultramarathon Documentary

Arlen Glick is an elite runner from Ohio who remains unsponsored despite numerous victories at the 100 mile distance. With a Golden Ticket from Javelina Jundred in his pocket, he sets out for California to prove himself worthy of his elite standing at the iconic Western States 100. Was running my first 100 at TuscaZoar and was coming up to an aid station. This guy started running with me all the way up. I didn’t know at the time, but it was Arlen. He was going to check on the workers at the aid station. What an amazing, humble, and faithful person. Thanks for sharing his story!

When Adam Peterman won Western States last year, Adam said that he had been feeling horrible for like 40 miles , "but then I started running with Arlen and we started talking about our dads and hunting and fishing and I started feeling better! He's the nicest guy in the world! " ❤ He'll be in there with Mathieu & Tom Evans for sure!!! So glad he's Christian🙏🏽🎉
