Let’s be honest here, the player in this mod is gonna escape in some way or be let go. Do you think a sure intelligent AI like Glados would wanna deal with another Chell.
Well, the cores are programmed to discard the subjects after completing all test courses, so its fitting that Nigel would also kill off the subject the same way from Portal.

@@darthjump I feel like it would have been better if they'd applied some slight effects to the recordings to give him a bit of a mechanical sound - before he appeared, I didn't realise Nigel was a core and not a human.
Really? You destroyed me, I don't remember them directing to the character as "she". I just think he's a man because the cinematic shows the core passing through test subjects and stopping in front of one that's clearly a man. I assumed that man is the character you play as in Aperture Tag.
Chell escapes in portal 2. The TWTM premise doesn't make any sense with the story. GLaDOS could kill Chell if she wanted to, but she chooses not to on a whim, even after deleting Caroline. Killing her makes more sense than leaving her trapped in a fake wheat field forever, so the only other option is that Chell is really on the surface. We know GLaDOS doesn't want to keep Chell for future testing because she tries to kill Chell immediately before she escapes with Wheatly. We know GLaDOS no longer wants Chell dead because Chell isn't killed.
so this might just be me, but i personally find Nigel's character really amazing because of how eerily he mirrors GLaDOS in portal 1 and Wheatley in portal 2. Nigel through out the whole game is our guiding voice, rarely seeing us face to face and watching us behind monitors. Nigel isn't meant to be eerie and omnipotent like GLaDOS was in the first game and part of the second game, as he seems really excited about his job in his first dialogue encounters, but as we continue we see his kind of, well a newbie, reminiscent of Wheatley's incompetency. The main thing thing though is he only calls you test subject, not partner like Wheatley, or by name like Virgil, or even an insulting name like GLaDOS, just test subject. It is my belief that as the test associate core, Nigel is like a new and improved GLaDOS, where in portal 1 she only cracked a few jokes and was all serious, Nigel is more open and incompetent seeming to make you feel at home and focused, his line deliveries aren't as human as most cores, so he might be phoning it, but whether he is or not his job as the test associate is to monitor and watch you test, so in order to not have another chell he is more friendly, never getting actually attached and just making you feel less likely to escape. this is especially clear here in the ending, where he is so nonchalant about you burning alive, even stating "Ill just choose another subject at random". Nigel is a modified version of Portal 1's GLaDOS, friendlier and more open, while still being a cold hearted machine unlike the other cores, keeping you in line and following testing protocol by book, which in my opinion makes Nigel a really amazing core
Sergeant Detergent Wheatley didn’t sound robotic either, the curiosity core from portal 1 has no robotic sounds, and even the rage core has no robotic voices in it, the turrets also have no robot voices if you consider them a core. GLaDOS has some robotic tone in her voice but not much.

I like how all good mods out there leave the story open-ended for any future expansions, Like Portal Stories: Mel is in between Portal 1 & 2, and this is after Portal 2, but the ending leaves it where a second mod can come out that adds more to this, or another mod expands upon Aperture Tag.
A little spoiler alert: Why is everyone here saying that the main character dies in the alternative ending? Only part of the ceiling fell, not even on the player
I think the assumption is that there's actually no way out from the 'simulated outside' room, so if the protag isn't crushed, they just starve or die of thirst.
It's definitely on the lower end of the spectrum when in comparison to something like Portal Stories: Mel, but I praise Aperture Tag not for it's story, but rather for it's attempt. The developers had an idea, and they most certainly made it work in a way that fit well with the universe. Sure, Nigel could have had more personality, the story could have been more enticing, and the endings could have made more sense, but at least this game has effort. Was it worth the five bucks I paid for it? Maybe not, but do I regret playing it? Not at all. I would still definitely come back and play it again to give myself a fresh feeling of the grand Portal universe again, since we all know that Valve's probably never gonna pump out that sequel for another millennia.
From the future i say that in portal 2 when you're released glados made it look like you made it to the surface but it starts to break down in the portal 3 trailer gameplay where you use a magnet gun instead of a portal gun in the testing chambers
in the time mod (forgot what its called) it happens that chell did just get sent into a box and it breaks then u get a time gun (i think, its been 4ever)

Why do I Imagine it like this Wheatley: A-Are you alright? Why aren’t you moving? Oh…o-oh no no no… Virgil: (traumatized for the rest of his life) Nigel: LMAO, MY TEST SUBJECT JUST DIED-
To everyone who is like, make a 3rd portal game, please be grateful, This is the canon timeline of the Portal series: Portal, Aperture Tag, Portal 2. Here is the game timeline of the date they came out: Portal, Portal 2, Aperture Tag. My theory is that Aperture Tag is after the events of Portal 1 because he mentions that we nearly killed his boss once, this could mean that the timeline is wrong but i have evidence! When the character (possibly Chell) reaches the fake surface and finds out its fake, The character knows this isnt the end, and has more to explore to escape the Aperture Science Laboratories, the character then jumps their way out of the fake surface using the paint gun and... actually this makes no sense after writing this.. lol.. apreture tag takes place in a different universe or at the same time of Portal 2 or after Chell leaves, so they scrap the portal gun and use a paint gun, this is because the character is the cores first test subject... idk
It would have to be after Portal 2, if it was canon. Nigel says that you "Match the personality of somebody who once almost killed my boss," but at the end of Portal 1, Chell *did* kill GLaDOS, and GLaDOS only came back after Portal 2 started.
Haha, a friend who finished the game before me told me that you could remove the lava but he didn't tell me how. I watched some easter eggs videos of this game, (well only one lol) and saw that in the first 3, always u have to check and explore all the level completely. So i went to the game and discover a lot of things that later i realized that were easter eggs. In this level, when it started I move my mouse up, and saw that it was a roof that i could get in, so after jumping a lot, I reached the roof and saw the easter egg (the toilet) then I make a speed-jump and realized that was something strange on the wall and bum, easy. It was funny because I made the alternative ending without knowing how. When i jumped, fortunately, bounced on the tube that transport the boxes, and yeah, Best final ever.
I always trigger the second ending since it's less sad than the other one. The song they used is a cut-short version of Abarax's “All These Walls”, trimmed to only the instrumental segment (4:53-6:50 in track).
2nd ending explanation: Aperture tag was a sealed off wing that glados nor Wheatley knew about. When you escape in the 2nd ending you are still in the facility when Wheatley is blowing everything up.
Does this imply that Chell probably didn't escape? I mean, we know Mel got out, because we actually see her in Aperture village. But Chell comes up in a field of wheat, which probably shouldn't exist in a post-apocalyptic world
This is a mod dumbass. And no, it doesn't. In portal 2 Chell escaped, there's a reason no media involves her anymore. If they ever do release half life 3, she might show up.
I don’t understand the criticism of the voice actor of a fan made mod. There is much worse voice acting in larger titles. He may not have such an extreme personality like other cores, but it makes a nice contrast.

My theory is that Aperture Tag is after the events of Portal 1 because he mentions that we nearly killed his boss once, this could mean that the timeline is wrong but i have evidence! When the character (possibly Chell) reaches the fake surface and finds out its fake, The character knows this isnt the end, and has more to explore to escape the Aperture Science Laboratories, the character then jumps their way out of the fake surface using the paint gun and... actually this makes no sense after writing this.. lol.. apreture tag takes place in a different universe or at the same time of Portal 2 or after Chell leaves, so they scrap the portal gun and use a paint gun, this is because the character is the cores first test subject... idk
Aperture Tag is not canon.
LionMemess tag is just à mod
I think its after portal 2 multiplayer because the 2 robots freed many "test subjects" for glados
It would have to be after Portal 2, if it was canon. Nigel says that you "Match the personality of somebody who once almost killed my boss," but at the end of Portal 1, Chell *did* kill GLaDOS, and GLaDOS only came back after Portal 2 started.
King Darunia like i said its after portal 2 Coop ending where glados finds humans to test with again
Theres alot of storyline that could be told if another game was made
APERTURE TAG 2 CONFIRMED XD
FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE WHO KNOWS THIS GAME!!
Amazing how they made an agensty teen core. And ecen more edgy when he drops you into lava
I'm the only one who has searching for the normal ending haha xD
Great video bro ! :)
+bmS Thank you!
I searched for the normal ending just to hear what Nigel was saying without jacksepticeye talking over him. XD
Can someone please tell me what aperture tag is, this is the first time I've heard of this
TheBlakPhenix
A mod of Portal 2.
it's basically thinking with Gel.
The replutation gel or something
*it’s not like you well encounter an life changing moment!*
Player: saves his life by doing it
7:13 Chell? Idk
yes
Or Mel.
Oh wait, Mel actually killed someone.
I always trigger the second ending since it's less sad than the other one. The song they used is a cut-short version of Abarax's “All These Walls”, trimmed to only the instrumental segment (4:53-6:50 in track).
The ending was a Lie
2nd ending explanation: Aperture tag was a sealed off wing that glados nor Wheatley knew about. When you escape in the 2nd ending you are still in the facility when Wheatley is blowing everything up.
8:27
Plot twist she never left the facility!
That's the thing. Wow 👏👏you get it
i love the end credits theme so much
Aperture tag: *_exists_*
Portal players: *cringe*
Aperture Tag is pretty popular.
thanks man ive been looking for the other ending
+Mr Geeky You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed the video.
I like this game but I feel like they were trying too hard to be funny when they really aren't.
Glados
"Now the real testing can begin"
Well done! I like the first ending more, I am weird right?
+Mark Coxon Haha, thank you!
+TameTheGameGaming subbed and liked and btw I am dangling over lava HELP
Music in ending is just epic
Does this imply that Chell probably didn't escape? I mean, we know Mel got out, because we actually see her in Aperture village. But Chell comes up in a field of wheat, which probably shouldn't exist in a post-apocalyptic world
Life always finds a way
It's implied to be 50000 years later, so humanity and earth had alot of time to rebuild itself
This is a mod dumbass. And no, it doesn't. In portal 2 Chell escaped, there's a reason no media involves her anymore. If they ever do release half life 3, she might show up.
@@Queen_MikuUnlikely. If Portal 2 was even a century after Portal 1 most of the facility would've collapsed and been unsalvagable.
@@concept5631 the robots were maintaining it with low electricity
WHY DO I HAVE SUCH A VAGUE MEMORY PLAYING THIS GAME?
Does this gun have a name?
Its the Gel/Paint gun.
Aperture Science Handheld Gel Device, if I had to guess
-the tenatek splattershot-
Only Chell could escape by killing GLaDOS. All other test subjects died
i did't know this was a thing..the game. WELL SPOILERS FOR ME AAAAAAAA
it's not canon
Toby The Marshmallow ditto
now i wish they made an aperture tag 2
I don’t understand the criticism of the voice actor of a fan made mod. There is much worse voice acting in larger titles. He may not have such an extreme personality like other cores, but it makes a nice contrast.
"Hey guys, chrisfix here! Today I'm gonna show you how to perform human experiments!"
#apeture tag 2 should be made like if you agree
Test Subject should automatically use the goo to escape the fire pit. if the light elevator can carry her weight then it should hold the goo at least for her to jump
This is just a copy of portal
yeah. kinda the point.
it's a fan made spinoff...
Jasonplayz901 it's not a mod it's a fan game
At leats you get your soda
Actually it's a mod.
so Smooth, you turn left or Right so smoothly. Nice Video!
