As I told you all last year, SU was rolling and beasting erybodty last year with over 75% of the band being freshman (who are now sophs) and now comes the 2nd biggest freshman class Taylor has ever had! I TRIED TO TOLD Y'ALL ABOUT THIS YEAR! NOW LET ME WARN YOU ABOUT AN ALL TIME GREAT BAND FOR NEXT YEAR! .... PLEASE DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU.

You are right my baby is a freshman trumpet player in the Jukebox; l'm in awe every time l hear them play. He was good in High school but his trumpet game on a whole nother level since he been in the Jukebox; he accepted the challenge, l still can't believe it.

No disrespect to Mr Haymer but ever since Mr Taylor has been running the show, SU has been getting cleaner and more polished just overall better I'm my humble opinion
I said the same thing , I think alot of folks see that just don’t wanna give him his flowers. This new Su sound so clean I can look back on the old videos I can see they wasn’t really clean , so Taylor and his staff and those students are amazing

I say the exact same thing.... you can have FIRE arrangements but the execution is everything. Txsu is a prime example. They have a top tier team of arrangers... honestly..... SU don't want smoke in that department....but.... Southern's execution is literally second to none. You can put any arrangement in front of them and they are going to make it sound fire. TXSU on the other Hand has superior arrangements but they lack the skill/ musicianship.
SU has talented arrangers across the board

@@thep3860 Kedrick was right on side of Brian destroying other bands as well and Kenneth been taking over the summer band seen year after year not to mention wind ensembles …you can underestimate the jukebox team all you want but the proof is in your face this band sounds more powerful and clear then they have since 2014 and 2016 and these are young directors just like Brian so we shall see
@@honestsagittarius4566 not underestimating the Juke at all. Their musicianship is second to none. But the past few years they've been hit or miss with arrangements. This year seems like they're improving but they messed up and let Brian get away and assemble an all star team of arrangers at txsu. His team has the arrangements on LOCK.....IJS
@@thep3860 I don’t think they messed up at all Brian was a great aspect to SU but let’s be clear SU has always been SU with and without him…im not underestimating Brian’s potential to make a Top tear band program but Brian have had lack luster arrangements before and so have mr Haymer and so have them directors at TxSU ….hit or miss arrangements are try and era and it happens to everyone not just SU

Yes you are seriously the only one. I don't know if you just WANT to be ignorant but dog, you can literally hear the trumpets. The triplet runs at the beginning and end are heard very clearly. You can hear KB humming the trumpet part at 2:50. Go get your ears checked.
