Sonic Temple may not be popular amongst original Southern Death Cult fans, Dreamtime and so forth, but I have to say it kicks ass, and has perhaps one of the greatest, most iconic front covers in music.

I just heard this for the first time (although I have listened to "Fire Woman" many times) and am totally stunned by the power, bass thumping, bass drum driving beat, the marriage of all the components of the band for this song in such a completely mind-blowing package! Has the Cult listened to this and commented?
@@melmiller6074 Of course they heard it. Not only is it an official remix from that time but Billy Duffy himself was one of the guys that did the remix. Further, both he and Jamie Stewart (the bass/keyboard player then) were two of the guys that did the L.A. Rock Mix.

It was not popular with John Peel too, who didn't play it, and he was very rarely wrong if at all.
This remix version hardens back to the excellent Love era, like if She Sells Sanctuary and The Phoenix had a hard rock baby.
