I always unlock from the app and pull out the charger when the light turns white.

Using the button on the CCS handle to stop your normal (non-Tesla) vehicle from charging works fine and is encouraged. You press the button, and wait 1-2 seconds for the connector to unlock.
This is a quirk of the Tesla adapter.

I believe this particular Supercharger was $0.45/kWh, and the Chargepoint was $0.39/kWh. Will depend on the location!
