  • Resistance is one of these things that rule our lives and we don't even know it.
That's the thing about resistance. Resistance is one of the biggest sabotages, and it's a trick of the ego.
The ego will resist anything that's ever hurt you in the past.
Listen to this episode where I go into detail about resistance and how it's ruling your life.
PS. I wrote THE book on healing anxiety. It's my life's work so you don't have to suffer from anxiety as I did. You can order it by clicking here:

If you have any questions you can DM me directly on IG here.

Great, thanks. That’s the most useful discussion of Resistance I’ve encountered. I’ve been resisting a pain in my shoulder for years. I put my hand on it and played with making friends with it while listening to you. The “Pain” sensation became more of a friendly sensation. And the relationship to it became a kind of friendship. I really didn’t want take my hand away. It was like talking to a friend on the phone and not wanting to say goodbye. 🌴🌮

My resistance comes up as nausea and fear, fear of abandonment from childhood, I was never acknowledged or reassured so I live in fear, I feels abandoned the threat of this has come true now I’m old and alone, this is where I’m stuck,

wow, this makes so much sense... I called resistance "acute anxiety" and didn't understand why only certain situations made me feel anxious. I will sit with my resistance and learn from it.

Thank you for this subject. I needed the way you repeat what you want to get across. It sinks in after hearing several scenarios about resistance and how it can show up. Finding these anxieties in my body as they show up is such a good distraction for my thinking with the ABC's, whe/if I can get that far.

I just changed medicine to lexapro from being on Zoloft for years. I'm noticing I'm struggling when I'm not anxious and end up making myself anxious. It's like I go back to the familiar MISERY. How frustrating?!

I think you are amazing helping so many people with your videos such an inspiration. This is a true eye opener, I guess I am resisting on a daily basis. Like what you have said in your previous videos after having CBT for a few years. I have been recommended to have EMDR therapy as CBT just doesn't seem to help enough. Please can you let me know if this treatment can help with this or help with anxiety. Thank you so much

    What's up Doc ! Lol
Is the "ALARM" not fundamentally an over activity within the amygdala. Which needs to be accepted as a meaningless irrelevant false alarm. Gratitude for your great work..

I love your videos, and i’ve also purchased your book. I would love to hear your thoughts about psycosomatic symptoms. I have severe healthanxiety (for 20 years) and i never feel safe in my body, because of my high alert. It feels impossible to calm it down, because it feels so real - like “this is it, I’m actually going to die this time”. My body creates all types of symptoms, and Its a nightmare.

I feel your pain and frustration. I understand the symptom part for sure. I have recently started using Faster EFT and have seen some changes for sure. Before I found Faster EFT, I used some calming breathwork and visualizations and those helped as well. (still incorporate those) I bet his book he speaks about is very helpful also. You can get better, you got to see it and believe it, that's been key in making shifts too. I don't always believe it of course, but I keep choosing to see myself healed and well. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I have developed a resistance to the feelings. Like stuffing it down and suppressing it. So now that i want to flow its so hard to allow it. My brain is fighting to keep resisting and stuffing it down. I dont know how to change that and stop blocking. 😢.
