We did this trek on 4th May 2024. Awesome experience but very tiring and painful too. Location is very beautiful. Weather keeps changing so layered clothing is important. We started at 6.30 am and by 5 pm we were at the base. Best is to just use hotel spa which I did for recovery. Stay at Udumwara resort was a beautiful experience because of its location and just 10 min drive to the base of Tiger nest.

Last week I trekked from base to monastery. Return truck or getting down from monastery was more difficult. Please began your track at 0700 am itself
Yes one has to be extra careful while coming down! And we did that during darkness! So you are correct, better to start as early as possible!
After watching this i am postponing my bhutan trip 😅😅 will go there after gaining some fitness and losing some weight ðŸ˜

Is there an option to take entry tickets after reaching the monastery?

No! You have to decide and take the tickets before starting from base!
It is a temple not monastery.
Tank you! However sources on internet and Wiki say Paro Taktsang is a monastery! Please elaborate here, so that other viewers get to know why it should be considered as a temple and not a monastery!
