So this is all predicated on what you chose by eye/user? Granted it does look better after the custom profile but it seems to me it would be better if the decision to chose (where colors no longer get darker for example) was done by a machine/scanner measuring color density or something.
So when you go to print the ink limit chart you are choosing a print queue, isn't that print queue using a profile that's already assigned to it? Does that have effect on the chart?
how to adjust full with scan settings on roland sg 540?
Once you've created your custom profile, what settings should you select in the color management properties? Should you leave it as density, do you tick embedded ICC Profile bearing in mind I use Adobe 1998 to design in.

Where did you get icc profile TIFF file?
Hi! i have 2 roland printers, XC-540 and XJ-740 that has to be calibrated so i want to buy an x-rite but i dont know which one is the right one. The roland versaworks list "measurements instruments" has some instruments already saved so should i buy one of those or all x- rite instruments are compatible to my printers? Thanks!

just used the normal settings... Banner/banner 2 / sign and display... for sticker vinyl 2 sign and display

I'm attempting to print helmet decals on 8 mil clear vinyl (convex gear wrap) but can't achieve a vibrant finish. It keeps coming out with an orange peel like finish. What profile should I be using in versaworks dual?
Hello Bigg Redd. Unfortunately, the 8-mil clear is a Convex product, so please contact Convex for the best profile available for their film. Arlon has DPF 6000RP Clear that is digitally printable. If you provide us with the Roland printer model and RIP software, we’ll be happy to recommend the right profile for one of our products.

Hi, very helpful video. But my DPT41b connects using USB and Versaworks will only connect in Edit>Prefences>Measurement_Instrument to a DPT41 using serial. I think you are using a DPR41b (?) in this video and if so how did you get Versaworks to connect to it over USB?

Hi, thanks for your reply. I am not using serial to USB adapter. My DPT41 is already USB but Versaworks will only connect to a DPT41 using serial port. This can be seen from the Edit>Preferences>Measurement Instrument menu. Serial to USB adapters only allow a serial device to connect to a USB port. I need to connect a USB device to a Serial Port! I am guessing the DPT41 shown in the video is a serial device already whilst mine is a newer USB device. Unfortunately Versaworks has not been updated to support the newer USB model. But that is just my guess, I am very interested to see if your technical service team can offer any further insights that can get this working for me. Kind regards, Alistair.

Hey i have RE640 xf machine i set my profile but when i print light any color like light grey light blue etc my printer leave pass line on media print when i transfer it on fabric it showes line even test print of bothes heads are ok 100% any best solution plz help me
